Red, just not sure which one yet.

Got the underside cleaned and undercoated, should get the side armor bolted up for good tomorrow.

Just curious, why didn't you seal around the tail light and bolt hole? Looks good, keep the updates coming.

I would have, but you were not here to point it out when I did it... I'll address before it goes to paint, then again when I get to mounting the tail lights.

The side armor is for a YJ with a TJ cut on the wheel openings. It looks like I must cut the openings where the tub sticks out from the armor wheel opening to get a stock TJ rear flare to bolt up properly.

I'm thinking about loading the cut up with seam sealer? The flare will cover it.

Thoughts anyone?

Like a good stalker, I stumbled upon your Covette Forum post regarding the radiator connections and TB bypass. Since there is nothing hooked up yet, I assume there is actually no "bypass" - just nothing gets connected to the TB - correct? Where does the steam fitting connect?

Quick question, what did you do with the prop valve sensor wire. I'm doing a 4.3 swap and I reused the entire chevy engine and under dash harness as you did. The jeep pigtail plug is a dual pin where the chevy is a single pin plug. I tried to swap the plug, no go since the hole size isn't the same. Tried to use the donor prop valve, no go since it had 4 wheel ABS and no port on the rear of the valve. I haven't looked at the wiring diagram on the jeep plug to see what the wires do but I know Ill have to cross this bridge soon. I may not even need this plug, not a brake guru but I'm assuming its just a warning sensor.

Edit: found this if anyone else ever needs it, would still like to know what you did and are you on the SE side of SA. Some of those pics look familiar, I grew up in SA.

Funny what you can find on the net...Did you see how Dr. Rebuild holds me in high esteem? That's a long story...

Yes, I just capped off both sides of the TB, steam pipe connects directly to its own port on the top of the radiator.

I spent time on this as well, It's just a warning sensor for an idiot light on the dash. My prop valve is after market, no wire needed....

I'm in the NW side of town, 1604 & Braun Rd.
