Have you got pics from the seller before shipping? If so then its lawyer time. At least that's what I'd do. Fact is tho that I insure everything so that its never an issue.

Insurance is secondary protection - the shipping company is responsible for damage. I hope you contacted the shipper already and began your claim. My LT1 was sitting on the pan and half way off the pallet when it arrived.

I'm already hitting them up, It's clear they banded it to tight , then removed them before I picked it up...to hide culpability.

I pounded out the hood rail damage and removed the bed liner material from the edges..pressure washed the whole thing..

There are a couple of broke off bolts, one on the tub mount I'll try and deal with tommorow

Your my hero. I wish I had the space for my YJ. I just completed some mods on mine. Mostly reworking what the PO accomplised or tried to accomplish

Worked on the broke off tub mount. Snapped what was left of the bolt off, nothing I tried, PB blaster, heat or tap out would get it out. I ended up breaking spot welds and taking it out, tomorrow I'll try and drill it out and re-tap or weld a nut to the top of the plate, then re weld the tub plates.

This weekends plan was to get the tub ready for paint, unfortunately my back decided to change my plans...A few beers and 800 milli's of Ibuprofen showed my body who was boss...

I decided to use POR-15 under the armor for rust prevention, this with the inside of the side armor coated in POR-15 should to the trick. I tried to mount my rear tube flares, but they did not come close to mounting properly, so their gone, I was not a fan of them anyway...

I decided to sell them and pick up some TJ rear factory flares, I had some beat up ones and after a mock up, they looked pretty nice

I'll re-mount the armor before paint with seam sealer at the edges, then have them painted with the body color.

Got the armor test fitted, they were a pain in the as* to mount..

Armor off, sides to bare metal

Sides and inside of rock sliders covered in POR-15

Yes their gone. Also gone is my extra tube fenders that Summit racing was so nice to donate, along with my rear XRC tube fenders. Sold to an AF Sergeant who picked up his YJ for 5 bills...

Seems like I did this already once... got the transfer case shifter remounted on the new tub.

From what Iv'e seen, I'm not a big fan of this herculiner stuff, can it be painted over? or is there a way to clean it up?

And for you folks up in the Michigan area, we just opened a new "super" grocery store here near the house. I found the above beer in stock in that store. It's brewed by the Michigan brewing company. When this brewery was Celis, it was in Austin, TX and brewed a "Celis Pale Ale"

Research shows that Miller bought Celis out, then brewed nothing, then sold to Michagan brewing.... I'm looking for Celis Pale Ale !!!

I don't know what I am more excited about. The cool jeep you are building or the fact that you enjoy quality beer as much as I do.

Yeah, I thought I would have been done a year ago, life keeps getting in the way. Being my first frame off, I'm learning as I go....

I hope to be ready for paint late next week.

I agree with the "learning as you go" comment. Doing my first frame off as well on my 94 and this forum as well as others have been tremendously helpful!!!
