I got it, it's not that bad, probably because I'm using a vette dash harness as well...I'll print up and save some of the wiring diagrams for you. What year is the LT1 you have? The PCM on one of your posts looks different from mine.

Also, get me a picture of the C3 vette hiding under the cover across the street... looks like a 73 to 75 model...

Glad to see you have a running engine. I am very jealous now and have much work to do to catch up. My PCM is indeed different because it is older model, I bought a 93 LT1. Probably should have held out for the newer one, ie 95-96, but this one came with a video of it running in the car before I bought it. Sounded sweet!

You have a keen eye; oldman Joe has a 70's vette under the tarp and I have not been able to catch him on the bi-weekly engine run to get a photo for you but will keep trying. It is a very cool car!

PS - I'm thinking hugger orange for mine - google images has lots of jeeps in various colors for your review. just google the jeep + color

WOW, just read/skimmed through this entire thread. AWESOME job!!! Seems alot of this is above my skill level/income level I only have one thing to add. Why put all that work into the engine swap and then stick on the crappiest filter on the market? I've had nothing but trouble with Fram in the past. had two of them dump all my oil on the ground. I won't buy anything they make anymore.

I painted mine 2003 Corvette Pewter, to go along with my 1995 LT1.
Still in progress...almost done!

I have never had a bad experience with Fram filters, you can spend hours looking up issues with any oil filters and find similar results.... I don't really pay attention to filter reviews or care what get's installed on my vehicle. My only concern is that they are put on correctly....If your changing your oil and filter every 3k, shouldn't be a problem. If someone can prove this wrong, I will be happy to listen..... I'm not rapping on you Skydmark1, I just have not been proved wrong, but am open......

Not much of an update, but I'm fabricating my steering column mount as the C4 corvette column mounts lower than the Jeep one, I also picked up a re manufactured master cylinder and brake booster, I painted them both to match some of my engine components. A pretty lame update....but I'm preoccupied with a pending family vacation, which will see temperatures 40 degrees cooler...I can't wait I love South Texas but this heat is getting old......

I'm liking that color, can you send me some pics? It looks like my old 03' spiral gray vette.

Fair enough, everyone is free to make their own decisions....just throwing my opinion out there. I don't like the filter media they use, but all in all like you said there are bad reviews for almost any product. Having some bad experiences makes me cringe when I see that orange

The color is actually 2001 Corvette light pewter metallic. I had it painted back in 2002, then put the whole thing on hold....now I'm starting it back up again. Just bought the Al's liner and insulator but waiting for the temps to drop a little to do that and and start wiring. I really like what you have done with yours. Very impressive

Spent the past 10 days in the mountains with the family, 45 at night, 70's in the day..awesome !!!!

Colorado is Jeep city, never seen so many YJ's on the road since I bought my first in 94' ...Must have seen at least 70+

We rented a cabin at almost 9,000 feet...here is a sunset pic from our deck....no beer needed...

"My Hood, I haven't seen this in 20 years...Mater 2006"

Shoreline, hope you and yours are safe from Irene.

Put the front end on, got some of the final steering column mods done. It's hard to get stuff done when it 100 degrees by 1 pm. Still got alot of work left before I take my ceremonial drive around the block.

I'm leaning toward painting this a flat medium grey with black trim...not sure yet.

We survived Irene with no damage. Unlike Isabel, the direction of wind pushed the water out of the bay. My Jeep is safe and dry! You are so close to the test drive- that is awesome! Looking forward to the video.

That's great !! We are at 110 degree right now with no end in sight.... I wish we got some of your rain, water bill is pushing $160... In your line of work, you might get a little busy from Irene....

Soaked my windshield hinges for 2 days in PB Blaster...only moved when beat with a hammer. Ordered new one's today...

After a nice 3 day weekend and a trip to Austin to watch my Horns open up the season, gotta a little work done.....No beer til the last picture, don't want my neighbors giving my address to AA...

Started mounting my stock chevy TC shifter in, made a template from the backside of the shifter..

Cut out..

Mounted...

Not sure yet If I'm going to use this trim.

Finished the steering column mount, JB'ed a couple of steel plates under the column and filled the top sides flush. Since the Jeep column was flush with the top of the column, and the vette column was flush at the middle, I made a couple of spacers out of Delron.

Column mounted..
