My Yj

Kinda rough in it's current form but I just picked her up last week. The pink seat covers is my G/F's idea of a joke.

Nice start. I say keep the pink seat covers.

What kind of plans do you have coming up for it?

Well, I already took the bumperette's off. I'm looking for a EA 187 for a matching spare. Then after that, basicly wheel it until the little 2.5 dies, then it'll get a SBC and I'm not sure if I'll put an automatic in it then or not. But in the mean time I've got rust repair on the burner. It's got about 6 spots that I want to fix. Once that's done I'm bedlining the interior. Then maybe a decent paint job.

Looks like a good starting point. Keep the wheels, those are nice. Just need a bit of spit and polish. Enjoy!

Jackson.

The Jeep in general is really clean rust wise. It's got 2 small spots on the floor by the front seat bolt holes. Then maybe 5 spots on the tub. The frame is really clean. They plated the frame here they commonly rust by the left rear spring shackle.

It does the job. I traded my 94 ZJ for it. Which a lot of people thought I was crazy for but I got a few spare parts with it and the P.O. threw in some $ so it worked out. Overall I'm really hapy with it so far. I've got to put in a steering shaft if I can find a good price on one. If not I'll just get one threw Q-tec and call it a day.

EDIT -- Wheels are deffinatly staying. I'm looking for a matching spare right now. But the wheels clean up really good. I just gotta spend the time to wash it first. :P

Gotta bump my thread up. LOL did some 'poser shots' today on a stump that's like a foot tall.

Updates are:

Bumperette's gone
Re-mounted my plate since the hinge was broke and went MIA
Trimmed and painted flares
Spray bombed a few spots to make it match a little better
NO PINK SEAT COVERS!!! YAY!!!!
Stereo Installed
Front track bar removed (Just disco'd for now)
Spare mounted

Not bad dude, I like the flat black paint job. You plan on keeping it that way? The silver top makes it look even better. I like that you have POLK speakers, I have POLKS in my TJ also, they sound phenomenal.

Keeping the flat black for a little while. I'm quite seriously think of going with a blue toned color. Personally, I think Sonic blue from the 03-04 Mustang Cobra would look killer. The Polks work pretty good considering it's only those two speakers at the moment. I'm not sure yet if I want to buy/build a sound bar or just throw some speakers in the stock location in the dash.
