My XJ Rebuild

After having the Jeep sit for almost 2 years and barley getting used, I decided to start fresh. It will get completely sanded down in and out, bed liner in the cab, and sprayed with Metallic Silver.

I started today removing everything out of the cab the gas tank since it is also getting replaced and the rear bumper / hitch (which will be refinished as well).

My pup wanted to help!

And Chillin in the Shade....

Hitch Pulled -

That's going to need to get fixed....

Bumper pulled and finished for the day -

People are always grabbing the handles, clutching the seat, or stomping an imaginary brake peddle when we're out having fun.

Made some more progress today... Still have a long way to go!

Interior completely stripped and ready for sanding -

New gas tank and pump came in today, set it up and put it off to the side -

Was straightening up in the garage and needed more room...

Need to pull the back door still -

Getting there -

All the trim, bolts, tid bits and seals waiting to get cleaned up and re-installed after paint -

A little more progress this weekend. Mostly just clean up. Had to watch my sisters dogs at her place so I wasn't home much. Plan on starting to sand the exterior tonight...

Also, finally built my body armor for the driver side. Cutting out the gas tank hole was a major PITA.

Nope sure Haven't... I am going to wait until after I paint the entire Jeep in case there is any over spray inside the cab. One less thing to worry about.
