my xj build

hello everyone this is my 1993 Cherokee. my girlfriend gave it to me after i sold my car, she is almost 9 months pregnant and my civic hatch wasn't baby friendly. Its was sitting for about a year, only 2wd about 250k miles good shape not really any rust.

shortly after tagging it, i started looking for4wd parts at the junk yard. I ended up getting a high pinion d35 and a Chrysler 8.25 then a trans and transfer case.
also grabbed the seats (front and rear) from it along with the foot well lights, stock tweeters and sound bar. then i ordered a RC 4.5 lift with rear leaf packs

sound bar after recoving it

pulling the covers off

took some hot water and purple power and stuck the overs in there to get all the grease off.

along with wire wheeling the old gasket **** off

then took the front beam out

also cleaned, degreased and undercoated both axles before putting them in.

i didnt take any pics of doing the rear, only reason i replaced it was the old d30 in it had bad bearings and made noise

heres the rear done, had a hell of a time with the leaf spring to body bolts.

while putting my 4wd shifter in i found 5 little bags of what looks like coke under the carpet right nere the gas pedal,

Uploaded with ImageShack.us
i pulled the old trans out and went to change the filter and stuff in the 4wd one and found this

so i scrapped the trans and found one on craigslist from a 98.
also did a rear main seal and oil pan gasket while i was down there.

well after giving the jeep back to my daughters mother when we split up, it sat from the time i gave it back till now. This time around i bought it, so its time to start over again.

plans
4.5 inch long arm lift.
some type of rim and 32s
I plan to make a rear bumper and tire swing
dirtbound front winch bumper.
fab my own roof basket
and more as i figure it out its going to be a slow process

here is how she sits as of now
