My Wife's "Redneck Ladybug" DD YJ Build

Well my Wife Rolled her Jeep Yesterday!!! Today she asked for a rollcage so i guess its time to start her build thread!!!

So here is her jeep as i bought it last February, i payed $900 dollars for it, the next street from hers!!
It is a 1995 Yj with the mighty 2.5, ax-5 speed, rusty body and it runs!!
i have done allot of work to it and much more is to come

Well before it could be road worthy it needed a little work, it needed a windshield,
drivers floor pan, rocker panel patches, a heater, some fenders , and some paint

a new windshield was installed by safelite in my driveway for cheap,
my father-in-law let me use his mig so i welded in some patches, the floorpan.
I installed some MCE fenders to clean the whole deal up, i installed a heater from Summit Racing. and a can of paint and it was inspected!!

I drove it a bunch and noticed it had very little get up and go, and was only pulling 12mpg... the mechanical fan had siezed!!
Replaced that mess with a summit electric fan that i mounted on 1/8x1" strap steel , and a derale fan controler
power jumped massively, and mileage increased to 21mpg average!!!, not bad with no 5th gear

She drove it like that for a while, the whole time i was doing a little work at a time on it, i was driving 700 miles a week in it bringing her to Vermont and back for her internship at a big horse farm up there
i threw a super winch on it, the York Oba system from my old 4.0, a kick *** sound system, and of course a CB
When she was all done her internship and she was home, She went shooting with a few of her friends at my place!!! She is the one in the middle, her friends love her Jeep!!

well she got sick of the little 28's and wanted something that looked as good as
good as it would do offroad, so i threw my 33" swampers on it for haha's
they looked great but sucked the power and mileage right out of this thing
went down to 15mpg and rubbed on the fenders like crazy when flexing
Her Rig wore these shoes for about a month haha
Sorry for the crappy pics

well i found a set of 33x10.5r15 mud terains for 100 used so i grabed them and threw them on her stock steelies for her, MAJOR INPROVEMENT
mileage is back up to almost 21, averages 20.1 right now
also bought a hardtop for 100 off my neighbor!!

there was a "Car Show" over in east brookfield at the end of august, so just for haha's we went down with some friends, our buddy brought his wrangler on 35's, another friend brought his two lawn tractors, his Germain Shepard who we love and his Alfa Romeo to the show!

It was a great time and she got 3rd place in the ultra modified class

We ended up using her jeep to move a horse and trailer during an emergency during our October 31st snowstorm, one of our horses got hurt and we needed the horse home asap. Lisa had the only rig with a trailer hitch that was home, so we took it slow and it worked well, it was only about 3/4th of a mile, just didn't want to walk an injured animal.

On November 27th we went wheeling up in NH with Baystate Jeepers for there Turkey Trot!! it must have been Red jeep day or something because there were only a few rigs that were not red lol. Lisa fit right in, it was her first time driving offroad herself, and she did awesome, in the snow no less!!
She made me very proud.

i didn't have time to snap pics of her flop, something to the degree of she wanted to get off the road before the cops showed up haha, so here are some pics of the "damage", or lack there of
She flopped a jeep onto its side on the road and broke a leaf and didnt break a window or bang up the body... not bad

so much for that rear track bar i was going to tackle next week hahaha

Yea those track bars suck
I had already removed the front
And was going to remove the rear sometime next week

I can't believe she didn't damage more then just the leaf and the trackbar mount
She snapped the eye off the leaf and you saw the picture of the trackbar mount

She went off the road doing about 30 and the ice spun her around backwards before she landed in the ditch
She got lucky!!!

I do have some xj pics and a build for it on here
The bullfrog build
But i haven't done squat on my jeeps ditto money and time
I have a full 96 4.0 drivetrain to swap into the 88 Xj bullfrog
And a new frame for Lisa's ladybug yj

Her yj now has 31" tires and American racing outlaw 2 rims that I got for a steal, and MCE 3.5" fender flares,

I am a dealer for MCE now as well

Xj Is 2" lifted on 33" mud terrains with cut fenders now but the fuel pump has gone bad and I really don't want to screw with it until the drivetrain swap

Posting from the comforts of the wilderness
