The tailgate is perfect. Aside from an unfortunate little dent that I received when I backed into a garbage can, it's still perfect. I'm actually considering taking it in to get the dent fixed, that's how much I like the tailgate still. Mushed fenders, whatever. One tiny dent in my beautiful tailgate...and it's off to a body shop! I wish. Maybe off to a body shop.
If you do do the mod, post me a link! I love seeing how it works for other people.

Thanks I'm planning to, my tailgate latch and hinges ain't responding to the pb blaster. They are a pain to use at the moment.

Hey, my hinges didn't move at ALL! After soaking them in a bath of lubricant for a couple days and forcing them to move every day, they quickly started to swing freely. You would NEVER know that the hinges I have on the Jeep were the same ones that wouldn't move even with pliers and a hammer.
The real key was soaking them in the bath of lubricant.

You need to keep an eye on that. Losing fluid can mean a few different issues that could end up to big trouble. A little burn off is normal. You may want to do a pressure test on the system and see if you have any leaks. Check your rad cap too. If it doesn't hold whatever the cap is rated for (like 16 pounds) you can end up overheating and that can lead to bigger probs like blown head gasket. Just my 2cents to keep the Lady running and safe...

I wanted to buy spider 9's. But I need lift so went with lift with some 60 axels. When I get the $13000.00 saved they will be kick a$$. Chromoly sheetmetal houseing, high nine center, these are the bomb. If moneys not an object, this is the ticket. tighter turning than any other axel, 60 degrees where normal dana 60 only has like 38 degrees.7/8" sypherical bearings instead of kingpin,or ball joints. Just bomb proof.

Lol !
What I have gathered so far is that a back up camera may help you see the poles, garbage cans, etc. I would suggest not getting it fixed and get armor.

Oh good so it's not just me! I couldn't figure out what exactly it rubs on, but at least it doesn't seem to negatively effect it. Mine was filthy, but it might have helped that I washed it with a hose, and slightly more water pressure than probably necessary.

That's not a bad idea, I actually didn't even consider that. I actually probably will. Thank you.

Oh my goodness, that's pricy. You get what you pay for though, right? I could never ever afford that! I have like $100 to my name now...too much vacationing and not enough saving money.
And now my tire has a screw in it...I saw it looked really low and it was at 15psi instead of 35. How it ever got that low without me noticing is totally beyond me. It's kind of near the side wall, so I'm hopeful that it can be fixed, but not positive it can be.

If you get some Oxi Clean dye-free in powder form with the green lid along with with enough club soda (not seltzer water!) put a healthy scoop of the powder in the bucket, filter on top of it, then start dumping (not pouring) the club soda into it to fully submerge the filter it will come cleaner than using the K&N cleaner. Let it soak, then rinse from inside out with HOT water. Let it dry and re-oil.
My Banks Power kit did the same thing, scapped it and went back to stock. There is a write-up on here someplace about about the pro's and con's of CAI's, and the con's out weigh the pro's. Be prepared to have to clean the "coffee ring" from the inside of your throttle bottle when the oil is (at a slow pace but..) sucked into your intake.

I am very aware that my CAI doesn't do anything but look cool. It was the very first thing I ever bought for my Jeep, before I knew anything about anything. It was a waste of money but it is what it is. What is a throttle bottle?
