my project YJ
1994 frame, 1988 body.
Chevy 383 stroker V8 MSD Ignition Fuel injection under construction Turbo 350 tranny D-300 t-case double shifter with the Tara-flex 4.1 D-44 font with superior axle shafts, warn hubs, 4.89 yukon gears, solid detroit locker D-44 rear with superior axle shafts, 4.89 yukon gears, solid detroit locker All new auto meter gauges, got all of them properly working including the fuel (nightmare!) 4.5" suspension, 2" body lift Front reverse shackle just installed NW Drivelines CV-yoke drive shafts, front and rear 35x14.50x15 Thornbirds, siped - they suck in the mud, but I have yet to find a better tire for the snow and sand. But I will probably be switching to some 36x13.50's soon. The tub was rhino lined inside and on the bottom. Seats are currently being re-upholstered to match the new paint job. The new paint job is Lamborghini Blue, PPG DPC paint, PPG clear, flexible clear on the fender flares. The paint has yet to shine as it has no been cut or buffed. Custom bumpers under construction yes, its pretty, but its built for the sand and snow.

How much time did it take to get all of those custom gages on the dash to work? That had to be a lot of wiring.
Reason I ask, is I'm thinking about doing that to my '87 YJ, but I really don't know what I'm getting myself into. I know the gages themselves aren't too expensive... Love the jeep though. Looks like you put a lot of time (and money) into it. Nice work! |
