The YJ had a number of milestones this weekend!
First off, right as I was about to leave for the run, I look down and see:
My siblings and I have always had really old cars and we consider that the single-most important mileage milestone, ha ha.
This run was also the Jeep's first time on a run with the new setup and did exceptionally well. There were plenty of pictures and video taken, so hopefully I'll have something more to post soon. It was a decently difficult trail instead of the usual just sort of trail riding. Ryan and I were quite pleased with the now-proven capability of our rigs.
On the other end of things, a ballsy stock JKU went on the run as well. He definitely got hung up quite a bit, and needed a hi-lift once, but he made it through everything that we did. All these JK haters have clearly never wheeled with one. Factory capable.
That TJ has 7" of lift, 35" mud terrains, and locked/locked and still got stuck *immediately* and needed to be winched out. It was just two and a half feet of slightly more viscous quicksand. Insane.
Would have been me if he hadn't tried first.
The YJ also got it's first ever real paint damage.
Definitely my fault. I got cocky and wasn't paying attention to my line and slid sideways into a rock. Rocker panels would have prevented it, is the kicker, but they'll also fully cover it up when it comes time, too.
So overall, very pleased with how it went. *Long* frickin' run. Left at 7:30am, got back at 9:15pm.
Hopefully I'll post up some more pictures after they get posted on the NSJ site!
