Its supposed to attach to the skid and stop the drivetrain from twisting too much

Ohh ok, I thought it just wasnt tightened down all the way. Weird, mine isnt nearly that loose looking. I suppose you could shave down the bushings some to close up the gap

I had about the same thing happen awhile back when I replaced mine. I'll take a look at what I did to fix it.

Gage, I have a pic at home with proper setup of that piece. If you look in my build thread, I ran into the same issue and had to reassemble correctly. I'll post it for you tonight after work or during my lunch break if I can dig one un in my phone. Most YJs don't have it setup right and it just dangles there....

Thanks guy's but for some reason the picture i posted above is the way you are saying to set it up and the top nut is as tight as it can get and that is how it still sits as if there is not enough thread on the top portion of the bolt

But i got some other thing done my brother came up with his wrangler and we got a few things fixed on his then i finally got rid of my hardtop and full doors in trade for half doors and soft top, AS Much as i would like to post picture's i can not as i am doing something a little different with the paint ad i do not want to post it yet,

BUT to keep you all some what in the "loop" So to speak here is a few things i have added to her

And OMG The Difference between my YJ and my brothers  the top of my seats are just about level with his hard top
And all this time i was thinking mine was not that big
