My new XJ build thread.

Well I picked up this nice shiny red 95 jeep for only 700$. Hit in the front passenger side, needs front grill assem, upper and lower control arms, fender, and bumper (yes i know dramatic). I bought this cause its an easy fix and I already had a red fender from my other jeep, and everything seems to be new if not close to new on this (motor looks spotless, tranny looks like its been on a total of like 5 miles, new drive shafts, wires etc.

Before I towed it home.

Strip down

After talking to this guy I know that owns a junk yard, he has a jeep up there with a 4inchish skyjacker lift. For 150 cash I could have the whole suspension. I think thats a deal lol. Im going Wednesday for it, Ill post some updates for it then.

Heck yea, $150 for a 4" lift! The pics make it look more orange than red. What are your plans for it?

nice find! all the other body panels look really straight on it, and the motor looks fairly clean.

Hmm. Pic wont show. But the one your pulling that lift from looks like its been sitting in a pool of salt water for a while. Not much metal left in those rocker panels. Haha.

Sorry about the delay but I had a very sucky tragidy, the kid I've been working on this passed away last week and Ive been involved in that kind of stuff. But I know he would want me to continue on asap so I did.

New front end assembled.

Kinda neat, but I got the factory paint in an aerosol can and painted the nose myself. Went with that and the black grill assem.

The jeeps actually done, I just haven't taken any pics lately, Suspension and I completely installed my audio system myself. Boy did that suck. I have some more pics shortly.

Wow, this is a nice budget XJ build you have going on. Sorry to hear about the loss of your buddy that you were working on this with.

Sorry to hear about your friend man.

On a lighter note, I love what you've done with the XJ so far, what else do you have planned for it? Just make sure you post any updates and upgrades!

Thanks guys, im taking it well though cause I know he'd punch me for being upset haha. Im ordering 2 inch teraflex spacers and shackles tomorrow. Im going to be buying a new set of 33's still stuck on which kind. I need to see my old jeep first. I found out this engine and transmission is a brand new rebuild with about 150 miles on it. How sweet is that? I have about 1,200 into it so far and its gunna last me forever. Im gunna be buying some bushwackers to help support the 33's and be legal lol. Other than that im just going with the flow

Alright suspensions done.

Before shackles and spacers.

Next up is new shocks and tires. I'm gonna do the new shocks tomorrow prob and take another shot at the t-case drop since the piece the bolt screws into in the uni body decided to take a **** on me. Tires and new rims should be by Wednesday.
