Throw some paint on those shackles and double check your torque specs. 65 for top bolts, 45 for lowers. Make sure you use nylock nuts or the egg shaped ones so they stay put

Starting my pathfinder tire carrier build, popped out the stock Nissan hinges and sized it up today

Think about tying the back of the top hinge into rollbar mounting bolts or something. Eventually the weight of the tire will stress and crack your body joints below the tailgate... Ask me how I know.

I was going to put a piece of steel in the back behind the body and use the four bolt holes as more support than anything. I don't exactly want all the stress on the hinge body bolts for the tailgate, I figured I'd break them or something eventually lol

Got the hinges mounted up fully today, now to get the striker and put some bushings in the hinges
