Well my 1st year anniversary with my first Jeep, an 05 LJ, is coming up. So I decided that I would give it a build thread. I bought it completely stock last October with 24,000 miles and a 6spd. My brother in law talked me into to getting one, once I drove his with the top down and doors off I was sold. I looked around this site and decided for some reason I wanted an LJ. I had no idea what I was getting into.

Before everyone starts bashing,I have Many Poser shots because I don't really have anyone to wheel with or lots of locations to go. My bro in law is often too busy to go wheel his spacer lifted Jeep. And when I do wheel no one is there to take pictures and I'm to lazy and get out and take them myself. So if anyone is wheelin in or near Wichita KS let me know and join you.

Being a college student is really gonna keep this build from going anywhere fast, but it'll get there eventually.

The First Day I got this thing Home, I thought it looked kinda funny with no lift compared to a regular TJ.


3 weeks later, I had the Local shop here install a 3" BDS suspension lift with lower Control arms, along with 33 BFG AT's on 15x10 black streetlocks. My brother in law gave me a set of mirrors and movers, and bought me the nerf bars for by b-day, if I would of known I would have asked for sliders. (poser shots)

My Bro in law got all new rockford speakers and a sub, and since I installed them for him I got his old Kicker speakers and got my self a Kenwood deck with the USB plug routed to my glove compartment.


Then I painted my exhaust with Rustoleum High Heat paint.

Then change my Oil and brakes pads (going to try and do as Much of the servicing that I can since I'm in the Air National Guard and have access to the garage on the Air Force Base)

Had to buy one new caliper in the rear because I couldn't get it to depress at all. Which cost me like 60 bucks.

My Buddy Drilling one of the extra holes into my freshly painted cross member, it had a decent amount of rust on it.

after wiring up the tractor lights from tractor supply, they're on a switch and don't come on with the reverse lights. I don't remember when I put the tail light guards on.

ya I notice most people don't, im not even sure if I really like it, when they asked me i never really thought about it before. I didn't really like it at first but now that the white isn't as bright and seeing how few of people have the whites out, Its growing on me.
