My little YJ

I bought this stock YJ in December 2009. Been slowly building it up. Still lots to do but very happy with the progress so far.

First thing I did was buy some BFG at 30x9.5 but they were not around for long. I also installed 2 inch shackles. Also while the 30's were still on I installed a Rough country 4" lift. looked pretty goofy with 6" of lift and 30" tires! Oh yeah Tube fenders too.

Had alot of vibes with that much lift so bought an SYE and double cardan driveshaft, much better! Found an almost brand new set of 33x9.50 bfg at's on cl for 200 bucks. So bye bye 30's! trimmed off the ends of the front bumper so it would not get in the way! Added d ring mounts front and rear too.

The whole time I was doing all this other stuff, I have been stripping the frame of rust and coating with bedliner. Used a needle gun and it made the work go pretty quick.

the wheels my bfg at's are on were very corroded, I stripped them and polished them. Turned out real nice! got new AR centercaps too.

Along the way of course, did front and rear brakes, wheel bearings.

I did a shackle reversal on it, then this made the front driveshafts slip joint too short. So I had a custom made shaft with a 6" slip joint made up.

Probably missed alot, but that seems like most of it for now. I have ordered Chromoly axles for the rear and a HD diff cover. Already have a truss to weld on to the rear axle as well. as soon as I have pics I'll post them too!

I'm in the process of doing the same thing, sort of, starting with a stock yj going to turn it into a mean green car crushing machine. You definitely got some good deals on cl. Jeep looks awesome!
