I really dig your front fenders. The lines are so clean. I might have to copy you and pick up a set this spring.

Well its been a while since I had some time to sit down and type. So i better catch up. The parts pile is growing in my bedroom ive got all new speakers for the keep a sub for the center console. Five perfect ravine wheels and some spacers. Next week (fingers crossed) i am going to spring for some new rubber. I went on a wheeling trip that involved some steep arse hills and some ice and i was ready to leave those bfgs there and drive back on the wheels. Soooo some MTR/Ks are in the books. As soon as it gets warm im planing on Monsta lining the tub putting some black carpet down and finishing my interior stuff along with tweaking some suspension stuff. I installed an IRO Pinion Yoke with the u bolts instead of the straps as I tore apart the second stock yoke. in the process I over torqued the preload on the pinion bearings and some how manged to weld them to the pinion gear and 500 bucks later it was fixed. So needless to say I'm done replacing parts that shouldn't be failing. So on to the suspension tweaking stuff. I plan to buy a set of 3.5 inch lift OME springs for the rear pull the third leaf out making the into a 2.5 in spring and add a shorter shackle if needed to the back and Im going to shim the pinion down to try and eliminate a little angle. As for the front im going to as soon as my pocket allows start assembling brackets, Johnny Joints, an Artec Truss, and DOM tubing for a mid arm Three link. Im going to try to keep this beast at three inches or a little less. I also picked up this bad arse m8000-s for cheap. Oh and my new plates are here.

Oh yeah i got the front bump stops in need to do a little rear fender trimming and bump the back but the leafs do flex to bad. They use all of a 12 inch travel shock! My Poser Mall Crawler picks.

Are you looking for a better ride? Or more arch in the leaf? I'm just curious what you're looking to change going to OMEs. Oh and they make a 2.5" xj leaf pack!

Yes I am looking for a little better ride. My bastered packs suck and I want a little stiffer (a little more arch) pack to help eliminate a small amount of axle wrap. I didn't know that. Does any one have a link or part number for the 2.5 inch pack? The ones I'm looking at have an overload spring. I like that idea because I have a super secret off road/camping project for this summer.

I hear ya. I wouldn't mind a little better ride myself. I guess they're a 2.75" pack. It doesn't look like they come with an overload leaf. Here is a link anyway.

Thanks! i got a steel on it. New to me but a few months old for the other guy 650 shipped to my door. garage kept and synthetic line. its awesome! I see them sell for 900 to 1100 new. Thanks for the link Im going to order some this week or next!

Some New up dates. i am slowly acquiring parts for my OME leafs, Front Three link, interior comforts and my Super secrete Summer project. The list just keeps growing. My Girl Friend just loves it haha.
