By samiam2714

Current Jeep First day i brought it home it didn't run (map sensor) and after is its progression through time

The first outing

One of the many camping trips gotta love car camping in rattle snake country

Ah a jeep in its natural habitat

I got stuck in my own driveway

After the first snow and before my rack install

The rack is now on waiting for the hi lift mount

Nice XJ. Looks like a 4wd vehicle is a necessity up in those parts.

Rear tire carrier
new front fenders to fix my bent ones
k&n intake/ muffler upgrade
2nd battery
maybe a gear change
a necessary steering box replacement
tinted windows
new seats (heated)
a new carpet piece for the lift gate
new door speakers
front bumper maybe with winch maybe not I'll see when i get there
side steps (i am short and have a hard time getting my self up to my roof rack
tube doors for summer time maybe maybe not
neoprene seat cover for the rear seat
auxiliary lights

and likely this spring a stroker swap with the spare block we have

and the list goes on...

I don't think i will change the axles unless they break but i don't wheel that hard.

most of the motor work has to wait till my brothers '79 blazer gets out of the garage.

sounds like you've got it pretty much figured out. Make sure to post pics of all the mods as they come along.

I have done a few things to my Jeep since i last posted i installed my CB radio. I still need to make sure it works though. With a little help from my Dad we installed my Olympic 4x4 rear rock bumper with tire swing. And all i have to say about the build is "Have they ever installed this thing on a car before" because a PITA. I also swapped my odometer

I mounted it under my seat so you cant see it unless you are looking for it to deter thieves

the rear bumper. it totally rocks. now i just need to swap out my old spare for the new old one. the random hole above the license plate was a slight miss calculation on my part when i put the new light in for the license plate so i will hit up napa tomorrow and get another light to fill the hole.

and of course the gauge cluster this was a little more difficult that i expected just because we had to nix the original plan and go to pick n pull to get a different cluster

I also have installed 1.25" wheel spacers so i can if need be chain up with out ruining a second set of chains. killed the rear hook on the old set the day i got them because i didn't know there wasn't enough space to fit them on the back.
