Speed911's TJ. Bought, wreck, rebuilt

I got my 1998 TJ back in October of '06. Came bone stock with a hard top. As soon as I drove it for the first time. I got the Jeep bug and got it bad. I love my Jeep, even though it's a WIP, and it's still got a LONG way to go! Stay tuned for updates.

First mods were Drawtite (free!) side steps and a Supertop (present)

Then came a set of tube bumpers (present again)

And a set of used lights, they were rusted to hell and abck, but a coupel hours of polishing and they were good as new. (free!) And I bought a full set of light guards.

Speed911's budget TJ

Then one day, I rear ended another Jeep at 40 mph in the busiest section of town. I hit mostly it's spare tire, but then went under it. Smashed the front end pretty nicely. One of the worst days in me life....

The plate is fine lol

Then the repairs, all done my my father and I.

Good as new!

Then came a 2.25" BB. But the morning I was going to my friend's to get it installed, my battery was dead and she had to be pulled out of my parking space with the tractor

Rear done

Playing with the new clearance:

After the BB, came the 33 x 12.50" BFG AT KO's on Cragar Simlocks

That's it for now. I'll keep y'all updated!

Sucks about the wreck, new bumper looks great, though.

Amazing what a life and tires/wheels can do, looks great.

Got my Bikini top put on last week. Went with the Bestop sunlighter. Gotta say, it's great! and then installed my Warrior Corners, and ORO Lite Dots. And they are pretty damn bright.

Top from the outside

Inside

Thanks to JBWood05TJ for the corners and Michael_K for the Lite Dots!

Armor and lite dots

Here's the running light during the late after noon

and the left one at night in reverse. The Liye Plate has also has a 3rd brake light on it, and when the running lights are on, it glows green, and lights up red when light, I didn't know that when I bought it, but its pretty sweet.

I can't imagine that it would do much other than get it wet. All the wires are completely covered. Plus my speakers are "marine rated" so I can get them a little wet and stll be ok
