What size tire are you trying to run? And with how much lift?

'92 YJ. 2.5 5spd. 5" of lift. 35"x14.5" Super Swamper Thornbirds.

Not trying... doing!

I run 35x12.5 R15s... With 3-4" of lift. Lift height isn't a question here, wheel backspacing is. The problem has already been solved with 1.5" wheel spacers to match my current 4" of backspacing

Awesome club run at MaBell out in Western MA today. We only had 5 rigs come along, but had a great time throughout. Plus, the 2+ hour drive each way was relatively painless. The rig handled well, considering I didn't get to spend as much time prepping as I would have liked to. I honestly think the biggest drawback was not having a better tire like a MTR/K or something of that sort. There were lines I tried that I could have easily done had I been running a different set of meats. That being said, however, the BFG A/Ts took a surprising beating today.

Interesting note: 250 miles comprised of 4 hours of highway and 4 hours of skinny-pedal-heavy wheeling and I averaged 16.67 MPGs. Not that bad at all considering every terrain involved, and the fact that we were doing 70-75 on the highway.

Here are some pics...

this was an "almost" moment...

Nice wheeling pics , I am glad to see Ma Bell is still open . Do you still have to turn around at the big water/ mud hole ?

Yup! Still open, although there's a lot of grey area as to whether or not the state's genius new "OHV" sticker permit is required to run it... $40/2 years. We had no issues, nobody was running the sticker. We turned around at the top of the hill in the open space before the downward slope. AFAIK, that was the point which the NEA views as the end of the legal trail. The mud/water/river I believe you're referring to is about 100yds. past the point we turned around.

Shaun it was awesome! Wish you could have made it. We'll start doing these kinds of runs hopefully more often.
