I don't know that .25" would be anything more than negligible but 4" seems to be the sweet spot everyone goes for. That said I plan on running 3.75" when I go to beadlocks. The RC spacers are 120$ for the set, if you find a less expensive alternative let me know.

I think I'm going with Trail Sport aka "sscramblin" on eBay. Seems to have the best reviews out there next to Spidertrax, and they're based out of California. I believe they're USA made, and I've yet to hear a bad thing about them... with comments on their quality going back to 2005 if you dig through this forum. It will be $120 shipped for a set of 4 and they'll be here in a few days.

Okay so....

1) My new roll bar speakers arrived yesterday, an hour and a half after I left for Maine for the rest of the week. Life sucks that way.

2) I just ordered my 1.5" wheel spacers. Hopefully their shipping estimate is right, and they'll be here by Monday or Tuesday... Canyon rims for next weekend's wheeling!!!

3) Here's the view of the Atlantic from the resort I'm at. One of the pharmaceutical companies I work for owns this resort at the top of this mountain. Quite the view, quite the place. I'm posting from the comforts of a room of millionaire CEOs joking about the state of the health care industry. Look up Point Lookout Resort in Northport Maine (yes, a 200 mile drive in the Audi yesterday which took forever)...

Who are we to tell a man how to spend his hard earned money? Sometimes I think about how badass my rig would be if I'd spent all the money I pissed away in beer on the Jeep instead. Then again I really really...........REALLY love beer.

Sometimes I think about how jealous the Audi is of my spending habits on the Jeep.

New speakers today, finally have a sound system that isn't a POS. Took me about 15 minutes in total, and these things are much crisper with a lot more control of the low-mids. Not really scientific measurements, but the stock speakers began distorting at around 74 dB (C-weighting) at 1m with the stereo at the "25" volume level of 35 total. The new Kicker DS60s happily were pushing 78 dB at 1m at the same volume settings. For $35 I couldn't be happier. I've still got the dual 10 subs in the back that fill in the low end decently. My mentality has always been to have a system that could be stolen without me caring... that theory is still safe.

If anyone needs the stock speakers, let me know. They're in the basement for now.

Kicker DS60 (6.5") kit:

Stockers... we had a good run together!

Lookin' much cooler

Installed

jeez i go away for two weeks and there are 7 pages to read. the jeep looks sweet though i must say. and don't worry too much about the color of the fenders, i think its noticeable to us because we are looking for it. if you see the rig on the road/trails you probably won't notice

Thanks for the compliments! Yeah, the past two weeks have been busy with changes on the rig. It's funny... at some points it's absolutely noticible (as you said- to me, at least) but then some angles/sun light levels/whatever, it matches perfectly. The color itself is to blame. In the winter it looks dark brown with a hint of red. In the sunlight it looks bright red. In the shade it looks dark red.

Anyway, thanks again! Sorry for making you read so much

Holy crap! Ditto for me.

Unfortunately I don't think I can make MaBelle, but you'll have to take some good power shots to show the new stuffing abilities!

I can't believe what a mean rig that thing is, man.
