Non-Jeep related, but I was able to get a few minutes between shifts this morning to travel through the city and snap some photos. The first one is of the swan boats in the Public Garden, which recently celebrated their hundred-and-something'th opening season. The second is a pano of the skyline at sunrise. The swan boats were around 5:30 AM, the sunrise at 5:45. The skyline is actually 10,500 x 3,500 resolution but Photobucket squashed it.

Looks like a good antenna replacement. I definitely understand the woes of the factory one making noise. It always conjures up memories of my uncle saying things like "You make more noise than a clapper on a duck's ***."

I'd probably go that route myself after seeing your install, but I use pandora/mp3s/satellite radio in my rig, so the factory antenna gets no use to begin with.

Agreed. Radio sucks.

Just use an Aux input and Spotify or Pandora!

Thats so weird. I never had issues with FM. I usually listen to 93.7, 98.5, and 96.9 though. They are all pretty big stations in the areas I was driving then.

I wanted to show you guys a cool thing that I bought for the garage-barn-that-does-not-yet-exist. As some may know I have a huge obsession with collecting all things Coca Cola. Well about a month ago I learned that in 1986 Coke had an advertisement for the summer that consisted of a red CJ up against an old decaying barn with a guy and his dog sitting on the folded down windshield. I figured this was going to be pretty challenging to ever get a copy of, and I was right. There aren't many left (or at least for sale) anywhere. Then fate changed and one popped up on eBay. I ended up getting it from the seller for a decent price, and having it framed for a little extra. The actual size is 18" x 22" and it does a great job of incorporating my hobbies & passions all in one...

The blank spot at the bottom was for the grocery store/convenience store to put their own logo or sale prices. It looks kind of awkward, but I'm all for keeping it original.

Also took a picture of the Jeep today. Weather has been gorgeous and the top's been down all week. Greased up the rear shaft to try and chase a small squeak, but it didn't really fix it. I'll eventually find it.... or maybe it will just disappear (or get worse) during this weekend's wheeling trip!

Tomorrow is wheelin' time. We've got 11 Jeeps coming and it should be great!

Gotta be out of the woods earlier than I'd like though, as I have a 6:30p flight to Miami for work.

Nice poster. Here's a thought. If you have a dog of your own, recreate the shot with your jeep, have it remitted so that you could add your shot, sitting over the blank area.

Okay, finally posting pics from this past weekend. Day 1 in Miami has been good.

Run was in Brookline, NH and some trails in Mason. We started around 10 AM on Saturday and wheeled straight through till about 2:30. Had a great turn out for our club and more than half the attendees were new members! Can't ask for more than that. We did a few bits of smooth class 6 stuff, then got into a bit more with incline and a few rocks (nothing like those that you central US guys play on) but something none-the-less that kept even the stock rigs excited and having fun.

Everyone had a great time, and we'll be doing another run again soon. As expected, the TJ performed just fine. I do need to order a new gas tank cap (forgot it at a station Friday) and a new Throttle Position Sensor as mine was throwing codes and I was losing power on the drive up.
