Show no mercy! You're having way too much fun with your Jeep Ryan. Tug is getting just a little jealous.

Honestly, as soon as my frame gets patched up along with a few other things, we need to go on a trip. Did you get your steering figured out yet?

I've just enjoyed wheeling it, even though the gas bill is a little more expensive than usual. When you're ready, you know I'll be on the trails with you! Next club run is Jan 21st, will Tug be fixed by then?

And the steering is partially fixed. I tightened down the steering box pinion and took the play out of the steering wheel, as well as replaced the dust boot on the drag link/tie rod point to get rid of some play. Driving on the highway for an hour to get to NH the other day was a lot better than the trip home from Derry the weekend before where I literally got off the highway and took the backroads home. There's still a little wander, but it's much better now.

Jeep looks sharp, love Red TJs. Just realized from your sig that theres a North Shore Jeep Club. Pretty sweet, might have to meet up with you guys over the summer once I'm home for a while, need a new set of treads before I hit any trails though.

Thanks for the compliments! I helped found the club in April of this year, and we're always looking for new members. Feel free to join our forum @ www.NorthShoreJeeps.com and introduce yourself, then join us this summer when you're back from school.

Well my family kind of dropped the ball on buying things from my Christmas list (this is an extended family get-together, pre-Christmas in New York) so I did not get the JKS MML, BESRK frame tie-ins, or JK turn signals for tube fenders. That being said, they did give me a lot of cash, so I've got a few hundred dollars with which to play, and I figure I'll put it towards the Jeep to scratch the mod-itch that I need to scratch since it's been a few months since anything fun has happened.

I did buy the BESRK frame tie-ins tonight from eBay... $45 was PayPal'd to Eddie and he quickly shot me a note back saying he'd put them in the mail tomorrow, although he wasn't sure when they'd actually get mailed. Great guy, quick responses. Worth sending your business to Ground Pounder Fab.

So the things I need to get are an SYE/CV kit, and front UCAs from Currie. I'm still pretty sure I'll get the Adams Driveshaft SYE/CV kit ($385 with free shipping on eBay) in order to move the jeep into a more completed mechanical stage, as my many inches of lift is not assisted by the slip yoke and stock DS. I've been on borrowed time with that for a while now, especially with the 8.8's offset differential.

So maybe that'll be good enough for now- although I did debate just buying tube fenders with the cash.... but I've got a whole 'nother year of Jeepin' to do those

from Ground Pounder's eBay site...

Glad you can get some good stuff Ryan. I'll find out tomorrow whether Santa will bring me anything from my list.

And as for your SYE combo, DO IT! That should have been done a while ago, so go drop that money on it asap.

Picked up a 1 year old Banks 2.5 Monster exhaust on the drive home from NY this morning from a JF member. $120, and now all I need is a cat & front pipe! Attached it to the roof of the Volkswagen and drove home with it up there whistling away. Great deal, as far as I'm concerned. Saved 60% over new. Hopefully it will fit well with a tummy tuck.

I want a TJ. I'm hoping to be able to get one next year. I will see what happens. As you can see from my start date I have been thinking of owning a Jeep for a little while now.
