Off to my final final.
Today's the last day of college.
Graduation's next Thursday.
I'll be back in Boston next Saturday...

Thanks man. All went well and now I'm just down to finishing packing up my apartment. Graduation is next Thursday.

So I've got to call ECGS and put in my final order for the 8.8 and all of the specs. Should be doing that either today or Monday, as Chase said he only needs 3 days to get everything done. Also spoke with the guy who is selling me the Hp30 in Rhode Island, and he said he'll just install the Moog lower ball joints for $50 bucks more. We've been e-mailing back and forth and sending each other pics of the rigs. He's got an 06 X on 34s with 4" of lift and some tasteful mods.

The timeline should be this...
June 3 AM - Leave Orlando
June 3 PM - Raleigh, NC - pick up 8.8 from ECGS
June 4 AM - Leave Raleigh
June 4 PM - Warwick, RI - pick up HP30
June 4 Late - Arrive back in Boston
Anyway, I'm glad that everything lined up and I'll be able to put both axles in the back of the moving truck. It'll save shipping costs and driving anywhere with the TJ or my mom's van to pick up the axles from a junk yard or anything. Also reassures me as I know where the axles came from and stuff. Guy with the HP30 even told me he was going to primer and paint it for me.

Jeep people rock.

Just ordered the 8.8 to spec. Only problem is that I guess they changed their mind about installing how they go about the e-brake shoes, and they won't install them unless you're getting the bearings replaced. Kind of sucks, I hope the e-brake shoes it's got are beefy enough still to hold her in place. I guess we'll see.

What did u order on the 8.8? Also, y wont they install ebrakke shoes any more?

To anyone that wanys to install the balljoints themselves. Its a pita. I did it and i shuld have spent the extra $75

Thats a steal. Will u b swapping over ur shafts, knuckles and brakes? Thats wat i did.

2- The guy I talked to on the phone said that they wouldn't be installing the e-brake shoes unless they were disassembling the axle or putting in new bearings. Said they weren't willing to take it apart unless they had to, which sucks cause now I've got to cross my fingers for good pads on the e-brake, which is a big part of parking stick.

3- The guy with the Hp30 said he'd install the ball joints for me, so I don't have to worry about that, so for $450 I got an HP with new lowers, and 4.10s, primed and painted.

Yeah, basically if they're not opening the pumpkin up, they won't touch the e-brake pads. I e-mailed Chase... I don't want to come off as a d*** but it's still an option on their website, making it an option in my book. E-brakes are a safety thing.

I would absolutly ask him to do the ebrake pads. No locker?

No locker. I was thinking the LSD as you and I had discussed, but if I do an Aussie kind of thing in the future, I'd need an empty carrier so for financial reasons at this point I'm just going to run it open front and open back.

Chase from ECGS just replied to my e-mail asking about the e-brake shoe install and said that for an extra $20 over the price of the shoes, they would install them. So $65 for new shoes and an install is fine by me. I'd rather just have it done so that it's really not a concern for me.
