Okay... here it goes. Pretty productive weekend with the TJ. I took about 200 pictures in the course of 3 days of the Jeep, time with the girlfriend, the puppies, etc. Drove her around a lot, but of all the things we did, I didn't take the hard top off. I'll be waiting until June when I move back because I'll have a storage unit at Public Storage with enough space to throw the hard top in there as the shed at the house is overflowing with bikes and stuff already. The only problem that I really ran into was with the hood brackets for the light bar. Travis did a great job with them, but I never considered the fact that the brackets would hit the sheet metal on the hood when the hood was opened all the way, so all weekend I had to use the little metal stick that props it open. I'll probably be taking a dremmel sander bit and adjusting the angle of the curve so that the hood can open back all the way. Other than that, everything was great. Here's a list of everything that got done:

1. CB bracket and antenna, as well as the American flag I had bought for it
2. Hood brackets for the light bar
3. Finished wiring/siliconing the lights in the bar
4. Test- fitted/adjusted the switch panel for the dashboard
5. Washed her!!
6. Painted the D-rings in the front

Hood Brackets for the Light Bar & Silicone Seal Test Fit, just need to trim the curved part at the back. PB blaster was VERY helpful in getting those bolts out!! Silicone was applied after the mock up, so the lights are a little off camber cause they weren't secured in.

Test Fit/Trim the switch panel in it's location - I'll be installing and wiring this in June when I'll have the Audi back North for a daily driver while the Jeep is being ripped apart with the electronics upgrades.

Ryan, the cb antenna mount looks good! I am upset that the hood mounts I made for you contact the cowl. Send me some measurements and I will redesign them, cut you some new ones and send them to you free of charge.

Wow Travis, thank you! I'll get you measurements as soon as I can. Your customer service skills are unprecedented, and certainly appreciated. I e-mailed you many photos for your Flickr to show future clients

Sold off 2 of my guitars today to make packing and moving a little easier. Got a couple hundred for them so I can use that and my tax returns for some Jeep money once I get back to Boston. In a couple weeks I'll do a checklist of wanted modifications that shall come in the near future.

Edit: and for those who care, these are the templates for the bracket adjustments. top is original, bottom is what the angle needs to be to clear the hood cowl when the hood is propped all the way open...
