Not sure if you mean the stickers... the "R" stands for Rejection... it was too loud, too tall, tires too big, no e-brake, not enough fender flare coverage, etc... But I made some magnetic mud-flaps and made a new friend who passed it! No more driving it illegally after almost a year

Oh sweet! I know you were having issues with the inspection. Glad you got it all sorted out. That's strange that they put an "R" sticker on it if it doesn't pass. Here in Louisiana, if it doesn't pass they just won't give you a new sticker. Which reminds me that mine is out of date on my Jeep lol.

Makes it easier for the police to spot the car and pull you over, as a R sticker is only valid for 30 days after it fails inspection.. after that you're technically illegally operating the vehicle.

I ended up making some magnetic mud flaps to help pass. 4 feet of 1" steel bar stock, some rubber flooring from Home Depot, 12 rivets, and 8 Heavy Duty magnets later, I had easily removable mud-flaps for each corner that helped me pass! Not bad for $20 and half an hour of work.

I am jealous if how photogenic your tj is even with the mismatched doors. I wish the Xj photographed that well. It always seems to look very grumpy. You also have a really nice "playground" to take photos of it at

And this is one of the many reasons I do not miss living in Mass. anymore..

Its really all about where you go/who does the inspection.

I had no problem recently and didn't know the place or guy that inspected mine and my tires prob stick out further than Ryan's. And never had I had a problem with cops, they only ask me questions bout the rig...


Pics do look sweet tho! Doors don't look half bad, but they would look pimp matched.

Installed a new headunit today... Kenwood KDC-BT752HD.

My old headunit had FM radio and a CD player. This has:

- HD Radio
- FM/AM Radio
- Pandora Radio
- Bluetooth Sync
- CD Player
- AUX Input
- USB iPod Control
- Subwoofer Preamp Output (will be used when I finally wire in that new sub amp)


And was $140 from Crutchfield. Took 20 minutes to swap them out, and DAMN this thing kicks ***. Bluetooth to my iPhone is the greatest thing on earth. I don't know why I waited so long to do such a simple thing.

I haven't been on here much, I should probably update/make a new build thread for my jeep and make it worthy of reading through. I am/was a little too "noobish" in my current build thread on here. But I think I may be past that point haha

Hey.......nice ongoing build. Few questions for ya since I havent had the time to read entire thread.

A. Why did you need those magnetic mudflaps? Did you fail inspection because the falres dont fully cover?

B. Surprised you didnt look into doing 6" flares?

C. Your running 15x8's........whats the BSing on em?

D. Did you have to run extra spacers on the steering stops or can you fully turn without rubbing? Pics?

E. Do you plan on regearing soon? 4.10's seem a bit high for 35's.

F. You did an 8.8 in the rear.......why vs. a D44? Cost?

G. Trutrac in the front HP30?

H. You did the ZJ tierod upgrade........is the draglink stock? Pics? There is some confusion that the ZJ draglink is identical to the TJ one..........but the few places I looked into have completely different part #'s for them. I'd like to do this upgrade soon.

I. How much bumpstopping did you have to add front and rear?

J. WHat shocks are you running, and what the compressed and extended lengths front and rear.
