Had a great time yesterday at the End Of Season Run for North Shore Jeeps. We had 6 Jeeps in total that came on the run and for the first time, none were stock! It was a relatively easy trail run comprised of about 10,000 feet of elevation change, some mud, and a short but fun rock garden that challenged a few of the guys. I took it pretty easy on the TJ just because I don't want to push it too hard with the shock and frame the way they were.

Had to use the winch twice to help a JKU out from being high centered (minimal lift, no under clearance) and to help a TJ get his *** out of a stupid situation he put himself in.

Anyway, here are a few pics.

And as a bonus, my artsy Rejection sticker shot:

Thanks Lu.

Canon T2i EOS Rebel, but the magic lies behind my Canon 24-70 f/2.8 USM L lens, and my wikkked talented eye for photography.

Glad to hear the run went well! Did you get to check out any of the surrounding trails, or mostly just the ones we did in September?

Also....was it the lighting, or did Andrew grow a beard!? ha ha

Didn't get to explore the other areas, we were getting close to losing daylight by the time we headed off the trail. And yeah I think he's growing it out!

--

Although it's probably unnecessary, I ordered the 10" Rigid Industries SR LED fixture. This is honestly what I should have gotten in the first place instead of the little fixture. Got it on sale for $250 with free shipping, only $100 more than the single light. This thing outputs 3,200 lumens and is the combo pattern which incorporates the flood and spot designs, while throwing light 469 meters at the furthest and drawing 2.4 amps.

My main purpose is so that I can have light turned on for extended periods without needing the Jeep itself to be running. While we were at OFR, I had to leave the TJ on in order to light the campsite adequately due to the power draw on my incandescent fixtures. I'll absolutely be keeping them, but this should provide a good alternative/addition.

I'm going to pick up a color filter for it for snow storms to avoid glare off the snow. Apparently the blue filter is the best one possible for snow storms. Still need someone to buy the other light. It's on JeepForum, North Shore Jeeps, Craigslist, and Facebook. God I regret buying it!

Are you mounting on the top of the hoop on the front bumper? That's what i plan to do when i buy one of those 10" Led bars. I might see if i can hang mine from the underside of the hoop also. I also want to see if i can just do all led's and replace the 2 bumper fogs with the same size round Led's. Ill just keep dreaming for now, gotta finish one thing at a time haha

Right on top is the plan. I'm not sure it would mount easily underneath although now that you've said that I'll have to check it out when it gets here.

Just ordered a Bergerson HD Lower Steering Shaft for the TJ, as my Jeep mechanic buddy said the joints in my OEM one are shot, and are probably the last gremlin in my horrific highway steering. Got it for $275 shipped here by using the business account at my friend's shop (might have to do this more often!)

Hopefully once this baby is installed the world will be a better place. Waiting on the LEDs too! Hope the Jeep starts appreciating soon.
