Okay then... Called up Jason at Jeepin' Outfitters last night and put in an order. He'll be mailing out a set of Currie CE9103S double adjustable upper rear control arms, and a set of Smittybilt 3" tube flares for the rear. I ended up getting a small monetary gift from Clayton's new father-in-law for DJing his wedding, so I threw that into the pile of cash from the stock fenders, and had enough to purchase everything together.

If you haven't called Jason for parts - consider doing so next time. He and his wife run the business out of their home and are great people. He's the same guy I got the TNTs from... had such a positive experience, I went back to him this time as well.

So in the next week or so, the following will be arriving:

Minus the corner guards. Someday I'll do those as well.

So once all this is done, I think the Jeep and I are going to relax for a while. Cosmetically and functionally we're at a good place, so I'll take my time getting the cage in and then hopefully just enjoy our time together for a while.

Are you going to leave the Smitty Tubes black or paint them to match?

Im sad your replacing the RC rear uppers. But I do understand. They served thier purpose for the time being. The Curries are very nice.

Leaving them black. I think it'll contrast the back end of the Jeep in a good way.

They were great when I needed them, but actually most recently they f**ked me pretty hard. Wen my RC track bar snapped and the whole axle shifted drivers side, the rubber bushing of the RC upper had no flex in it, and actually ended up ripping the metal from the frame at the point where the UCA mounts to the frame rail. Had it been a double Johnny Joint arm, the axle could have shifted with no issue. The rubber bushing just had no room to adjust so the lateral motion tore the frame since the UCA mount metal is so much thinner.

Did Rough Country ever refund you for your broken track bar?

So Ryan, wanna sell me those RC uppers? Prep work on my lift parts is coming to a conclusion over here and I'm thinking that they would be a good insurance policy for my rear pinion angle. I've got a bit before the actual install so I'm in no huge rush.

Absolutely. You're probably going to need to rebuild the joint on one of them, but they're yours if you want em

Also, Smitty flares shipped and will be here next Friday. I'll be at a concert, but maybe Saturday can get them installed.

Edit: I'm an idiot.... they will be here in 36 hours.

Dude, loving the wheels. Looks like you've been enjoying your jeep! Looks like a really nice place to wheel in your videos. Keep it up man

Thanks man! Took a few more photos a few weeks ago but I think I forgot to post them. Just some parking lot shots with the new Canyon rims. I really hope the black tubes in the rear make things look more uniform. They'll also help me figure out if it's raking backwards like I think it is. Might be time to adjust the leveling spacers up front.

Nice, rig is looking great!

Looking forward to seeing them Smitty rears on! I might give in a get a set to slap on my corners. Especially since I'll be running the 4" Rokmen fronts once I get them welded up.

To be honest I really like "new wheels" over the cragars! the soft 8's are a little over done now by everyone. I also think some newer JK wheels would look good. Either way I think the "rake" effect will be eliminated once the rear tubes are on.
