As you can tell from the photos we have ALOT of work to do. Wish us luck. If nothing else my son will understand how everything works and what it really takes to restore something.

New paint, new springs and even slapped the new tires and wheels on just for a test fit. Not going to leave them on now, but needed a little potivation.

Looks like a great start! Can't wait to see how it turns out. What are the plans so far?

The gas tank today, change front and rear diff fluid. Got some rock gards for the covers that I want to paint red just to stand out. Then the fuel lines. A slow process but not too bad for about 6 weeks or so.

Got the front diff done but the parts store didnt have gasket for the dana 20 so I will have to get tomorrow. I did notice that I CAN NOT remove the fill plug in the rear end. Any idea? And one other question, I have just installed a 2.5" rough country lift with +3/8 of an inch shackles (basicly stock). Do I need a drop pitman arm or will the stock work just fine? I just dont want to have to install the stock arm and then realize I have to change it out.

You should be able to get by with the stock pitman arm. Get it aligned.

Great start to the build! I'll be following!
