Had the jeep for about three years now, but im going to try to remember the big steps i took. I am going to apologize ahead of time because i know the pictures are all different sizes, dont feel like resizing each one, some were already resized and get smaller, etc.
So here we go, from stock to grown up.
In the original owners driveway before purchasing it..
cleaned up with the hard top off..30x9.50 BFG A/T's were what came on it
after the CB radio was installed...I got a deal on some 33x12.50 BFG A/T on 15x8 black Cragar Soft 8's. Slapped em on with just the 2"BB on. (currently still running same tires)
oh and i shattered the rear window out of the hardtop too.. trying to fix the leak (loose nut on the hinge that was covered by the rear wiper plastic casing.. when putting casing back on, couldnt line up the screw to get the covering back on, lifted my arm up, tweaked the glass, boom!.
After the tires were put on, decided to go with the 1.25" JKS body lift..no pictures of installation, but heres the after of that..
playing with some flex...
then my first trail ride..group poser shot, no actions pics too busy driving (Pine Barrens NJ)
after that I decided the 4 speed transmission I had now adapted to driving (loss of 5th gear on the highway with 33's, lift, and that monster 2.5L with 4.10's or .11's or whatever they were..) wasnt going to cut it anymore, time for some parts.
Ordered Superior 4.88's and install kits, front and rear. And the Detroit Tru-Trac limited slip locker for the front.
it was like christmas!
Gears went in, locker went in. Then bought the RE 3.5 Basic Kit (no Adjustable control arms) a Teraflex front adj trac bar, stainless steel braided brake lines, Old Man Emu shocks.
now im up a little higher..
and ohhhh I always wanted to do this..
Then went ahead and bought a Llama Bumpers tire carrier w/HI-Lift off a friend..
And thats where she sits as of now. Just picked up adjustable control arms last weekend, a tri-link for the rear, working on getting a bracket fabbed up for that.. and then on with the rest of the list..
New soft top frame (nylon strap broke on one side)
SYE and Tummy Tuck..
Tom woods drive shaft..
Love to have full doors!
Nice build, Have you been happy with the tru trac up front?
ive been happy with it, it minds its manners on the highway, i dont notice that its there. and as far as wheeling, my first trip on the rocks had been after i installed the locker, so i wouldnt know the difference, but its pretty unstoppable. climbed up alot of things
