My 98 TJ build

Hey guys. So I have a 1998 TJ I4 that is now my DD to high school and work but I plan on doing a lot to it. It has a good starting setup right now but I want to do quite a few things to it to perfect it.

Now my jeep is a little four banger turd. But I have added a 4.0 throttle body, pacesetter headers, and a magna flow exhaust. I plan on regearing to liven it up. It has 33 in tires on a 3.5ish inch lift. I plan on getting a front Aussie locker for it so I can go through some more fun trails in ocotillo and Johnson valley. I also plan on getting a new rear end, stretching it, 35 in tires, and get better shocks all around ( it has stock jk rubicon shocks all around).
I have plastidipped the hood and I plan on doing the fenders next.
Just today I put in a completely different kicker sound system in it. It sounds amazing compared to before. I also added an inverter for charging my phone or to use for camping accessories.
So this is what I've done so far and I plan on doing more as I gradually get more money together. I'll post new updates in here as often as I can.

High school TJ build

Went to a mud bogging event up in apple valley California. It was to fund the charity for autism awareness. It was a lot of fun. I was thought about taking my jeep through but that's some gnarly mud they have up there. Plus my jeep needs to be fixed anyways and it's my DD so I passed fun event though. Here's some pics and vids.

Looks like you're off to an alright start. Always good to see another high school kid getting into it early, I'm a freshman in college, but close enough. As someone who has used plasti dip before, I'll admit it was a cool idea, but after doing it and seeing that I liked the color I would much rather just have rattle can paint over it instead of the plasti dip as it attracted more dirt and was harder to clean than normal paint.

Yeah I get what you're saying but it works fine for me too late now anyways lol. I'm gonna do a dark gunmetal plastidip on the plastic part of the fenders eventually. I still got a few thing I'm gonna do before my trip to calico Halloween weekend comes up.

Got a couple other things done.

The panhard bar on the front had a shot bushing it was so bad that my whole axle moved. So I replaced it with a heim for now until I completely redo my steering

Also got my spare tire mounted finally

Now she's lookin trail worthy! Lol

High school TJ build

So my steering pump is shot... and I need a new one. I'm thinking of getting a refurbished one from a friend that rebuilds them but first I want to know if there are any cheap upgrades out there that are quick and easy. Doesn't have to be anything fancy. Is there stronger steering boxes that I can pull off a junkyard truck or something? I'd rather have something better.

So stuffs gettin more serious! I just scored on a whole set of rancho 9000XL's for 160 barely used. And I just ordered a lunchbox locker for the front. And got some rock lights for at night time. I'm excited!
