alright so I'm just toying around with this idea and wanted some opinions. I have a spare D30 diff cover that I cleaned up yesterday, primed and sprayed with some paint. The only paint I had was a sort of Ford Blue. After I sprayed it on there I got the idea of possibly painting both the covers, the shocks, springs, and maybe control arms this color. Any opinions on this?

I say don't do it but it's up to you. I just think it will look too much like a ricer car with the paint on them. I you want to do something to them to make them look better do some herc or something similar.

I did mine a while ago in Chrysler Orange Engine Enamel and I Love it! I say Do It! I was very iffy about it when i did mine, but the more orange i put on it the more i like it. Here's a pic of the weekend i did mine, the shockboots dont match perfect, but its close enough...

Not yet I'll check it out here after I put these wheelin video's up from the Wilderness 4x4 run.
This one is pretty slow, just all of us down a ledge. First Dustin, then Black2door, then me, then Matt, then OldskoolCJ, then YredJ, then the rest. This one is alright. And just for the record I knew I wasn't gonna get up on the concrete I just wanted to try anyway. Oh and around the 3:00 you can't really see it but I'm pulling Matt out of a hole. ![]() This is the good one, first me, then Matt, then OldskoolCJ (Zack), then black2door, then YredJ. Everyone got a good dent under their doors where I dropped down at 3:28 except for me because of my ghetto sliders |

You can't really empty out empty pockets anymore...I've been sucked dry by that jeep! But thanks. Oh and keep an eye on your stinger, it may just show up in this build thread on a different jeep

Well just got done changing out my tranny mount, that and u-joints and oil change are the only things I've done recently. I thought my mount was just getting worn out but I was pretty wrong about that, turns out my transmission hasn't been connected to the skid since before sept 20th. This is how it came out
![]() And this is my beaten and bruised skid plate, just felt like putting a picture up. ![]() I think I've decided I'm going to get a A to Z Fab cage next. |

Finally got back out wheeling today, had a blast! Unfortunately I don't have any pics because my dad=fail but it was a great time. Did a ball and barrel race and also turned some laps around the MOROC track, that was awesome, didn't know the jeep could be fast! But I'm going out again next weekend I'll get some pictures this time. Oh and the Toyo's, like a night and day difference. They are amazing.

Yeah you were right they are awesome.
Yesterday we pulled out my carrier in the 8.8 and added some more clutches to the packs, using only the best looking ones. I had heard this made it pretty tight if you were using brand new clutches. But for using a bunch of old ones it made a huge difference, I can feel the rear slip around corners a bit because it is so tight. Hopefully that will make wheeling this weekend all the better. |
