My '97 Wrangler Thread

Alright here's my jeep, this is what its gone through since last July.

When I first got it, stock sport on 32" tires, Chrome KC's and steps

For a while I was thinking about selling it for a new mustang, but the annual Hell Froze Over even at Southern Missouri Off Road Ranch changed all that.

Stock having some fun

Okay well now I was hooked. Time for new tires,a lift, and a CB...I wish I had gotten 33's though

Did quite a bit of wheeling

Found a great deal on an 8.8 I couldn't pass up...

Took the windshield down, painted the flares, got rid of some chrome
Bad cell pic

Now today, some homebrew sliders and a jeep club membership later here it sits. Wilderness 4x4 is a friends shop around here.

Just thought I'd show what I was in before the jeep, this was my first car, '95 Mustang GT, ton of mods and a low 11 sec quarter mile

This is what happened to it after a blown head gasket... (no that's not me in the picture)

plans now are to find a front axle geared to 3.73 to match the rear, then a lot of wheeling. After that I plan on a tire carrier to get my spare out of the bed area. Let me know what you guys think!

Thanks guys. The lift is the 4" X-series (the $529 one) I like it a lot, but eventually I'd like to upgrade to long arms on it. But I have it and their adj. upper control arms and they work great and as you can see it flexes awesome.

Here's a teaser of the black wheels, I'll get some new pics this weekend wheeling and if it ever stops raining.

haha, for 2 cans of 96 cent spray paint I'm really happy with it! When I scratch the hell out of them this weekend I can hop out and touch them up real quick with the half can I have left over
