So on the way to work this morning I heard a metallic bang so I pulled over and took a look at didt see anything so I drove the rest the way to work. Well when I got there and jack the jeep up to spin the tires and I am getting a growling coming from my rr corner, so I think I may have lost the bearing. I will know for sure when I have my buddy tow it home after work.

Any ways I have decided to take my rear spartan out (since I will have the rear end town apart) since I fill my 37s are way to much tire for that little guy. I plan on running my stock spiders out back until funds allow some sort of selectable locker.

Weld the spiders

Save up for a Detroit or ARB. Having run both I loved the dirt simplicity of the Detroit in my CJ. Rarely knew it was there. The ARB is rock solid as well performing as a limited slip when unlocked. The solenoid was a bit of a pain at first, but once set up its nice to have a jeep the wife can still drive and not worry about quirks.

How's you front 30 holding up to the weight of the 37's ? I think they will be my next tire but on aluminum wheels to try to save weight.

You know the 30 is holding up great thus far, and I have beating the **** out of it the last three outings. Welding the spiders has crossed my mind but we will see. I would love a arb, zip, or ox locker!

So my buddy towed me home after work tonight so I dug into it just to find that the parking brake mechanism had fallen in the rotor. I ditch the parking brake shoes when I installed the ultimate 8.8 kit since my cage blocked my brake pedal any ways. So this is what my loud bang and rattle was......

I'm sure having a working parking brake in the mountains of Washington is overrated Just grab some tire wedges from an RV.

I always just throw a rock behind the tire, if I park on a hill I just throw the t case in low range. I would like to look into maybe putting a parking brake on the out put shaft of the case some day tho! On top of that I neeeeever set the parking brake when I had one any way!

I intend to install a line lock, since I did the disc break rear, my e brake situation has been lousy.

Can you say rock RASH? Hahaha I had a spur of he moment (the sunshine made me do it) trip to the orv park had a great time but got a little to much sun. On the way home I had to stop by my dads house to straighten my skid plate to keep my exhaust from rattling on it.......I need a belly up like in a bad way!
