Nice rig, for the year its in amazing condition. You're going to like the rag-top a lot more then the hard-top, easier to take down. I don't miss my hardtop at all after 5 years of being without. Great build

I changed out my ax5 fluid today! I had a shop change it out about 4 month ago and was't sure what the put in it. All I knew was it was hard to shift in the morning when it was cold so I change it out for some redline. It looks like it was just gear oil in the tranny Wich from what I hear is a big no no. Any now it shifts a lot better and on the bright side my softtopper should be here tommarow!

Yeah the turd seems to be holding up ok tho I have even thought about putting a truss on it to polish it up a little more since I plan on staying with 33 now!

About the gear oil in trans.

I just did some trans work and I looked to see what kind of fluid to put into it and the jeep repair book said to put gear oil in it. It then went on to say to put trans fluid into the transfer case. Go figure right. I have to do some more trans work soon so I think Ill try putting that redline stuff in there because mine shifts a little hard when its cold too.

Is that the framless soft top?

Yeah it's the frameless top, the book was right about putting ATF in the tc but from what I hear gear lube is bad for the tranny! It eats the bronze synchro. You need the fluid to be gl4 not gl5 maybe 91bod will chime in he seems to no his stuff when it comes to oils!
