So I finally got me a bearing press. Figured it was a good investment considering I work on hot rods with my dad along with the jeep. This one came from northern, it had good reviews, and it wasn't much more than a harbor freight one. They said they discontinued the HF 20 ton and didn't have a replacement. I'm happy so far with the purchase. I also made some mockup bearings for the carrier....the only bad thing about the eaton e locker is that it uses different bearings and races and stock, so I had to buy an extra set of bearings to make mockup a, along with Dana 44 carrier shims. Started to make mockup races using the old pinion races. Getting close. One thing I need is either a press kit or buy some pipe with the right diameter for pressing the bearings on. I plan to figure that out this weekend.

I agree with your 100% on this but those parts on the shelf won't do much good if you're on the trail and they are still on the shelf. Either way it's good to have spares in advance.

All that said, I picked up an ES2010L TRE at O'Reilly's yesterday. It's nice to not have to order and pay shipping.
