I believe the splines on the rear end of the main shaft (where the rear driveshaft slips on) are different lengths going down the shaft.

Its pretty complete. All the bearings and seals. Even comes with a tube of RTV.

but with the newer t-case you arent supposed to use the red seal housing. you just use the stock housing and hack n tap and use the flange. the housing is the seal so you dont need the red one with the kit.

It'll all be revealed once I get everything on.

I'm in the process of putting it back together. Got the bearings and seals on the case. Going to pick up the mainshaft later today. Had it cut, drilled, and tapped for the HackNTap.

I got the roll pin out with a #1 Screw Extractor (an easy out) and slowly turned and pulled (hard) until the pin came out. Very sketchy procedure.

Not sure yet. Still need to put the wheels on to see if I like them. Won't put them on until its running again. Hopefully tomorrow.

My Jeep just got another package. This one weighs 60lbs.

Now I'm REALLY anxious to get this thing rolling again!

Once I install these "packages," there will be plenty of pictures.

I just finished putting the tcase back together. Honestly, the whole rebuild kit could have only taken a couple of hours to do, but I'm in no hurry so Id only work on it about an hour a day. The beauty of having another car as a daily driver.

The hardest part for me was getting the cross pin that holds the shift rail together out. Now that I've put it all back together, I figured out that you can pry it out, which is WAY easier than dealing with the pin.

Over all though, it can seem like a lot of work, but it is actually very simple and straight forward. Now, putting the tcase back in the Jeep is another story. We'll figure that out tomorrow!

Got the tcase in. But messed up on the last ujoint on the driveshaft so I'll be taking the driveshaft to someone that has a shop and the right tools to do it. Tired of beating on ujoints. So frustrating!

Anyways, heres a picture. Also installed the 40lbs package I got.

Just need to get the driveshaft figured out, then I'll put my new wheels and tires on, along with the 96lbs package and the 60lbs package.

Been an awesome day in my Jeep world.

Left work early and picked up my rear driveshaft from Baertrax. Got home, filled up the tcase with fluid, installed the driveshaft, jump started the Jeep, and drove it for the first time in 3 months! Oh how I MISSED my Jeep! Up next was putting my 32s on. Finally got that done, and cleaned up the messed in the back of the Jeep.

Now for the pictures.

Now to paint my other packages then install them.

I think the Ravine's would look pretty spicy with the KM2s. Great XJ!
