Picked up a factory gas tank skid this morning. Going to install the track bar in an hour or so. Then I'll install the skid if I feel like it. Needs some paint first...

Axle sits a little to the passenger side now. Solution: LIFT IT SOME MORE!

Well, after driving it around a little bit, I've noticed that it sure makes a weird noise when accelerating aggressively from a stop. Sounds like something is slipping or grinding. Only does it when its in drive, not in neutral. Not quite sure what to check. All the fluids are fine. Ugh.

Been a while since I've updated. Sad part is I haven't really gotten much done to the Jeep. The HackNTap ended up not working with the newer model tcase I was going to put in so that threw that plan off for a bit. Had to tow the Jeep home with my truck and ever since then, its been sitting there.

Then the day after Thanksgiving, I got into an accident with my truck so it got totaled. Insurance gave me a nice check for the truck so I picked up an '02 VW Golf (75000 miles, the same that the truck had ) for cheap so I have a nice chunk of cash left over to throw at the Jeep.

I just ordered some armor for the Jeep. Once I get the tcase finally finished and installed, I'll work on getting everything else installed. After everything is on, its time for some tires (MTRs or KM2s, hmmmm). Then I can go back to wheeling finally!

I was toying around with lifting it more to fit some 32s, but the money is better spent on the armor and tires. Don't feel like going bigger just yet. If I go bigger, I'm doing it right and going long arm, which costs more than I would like to spend at the moment. Not mention it'd need a regear and bigger tires for me to be happy. Someday when I have a better paying job and more free time, it'll get done. But for now, my 3" of lift, nice 31s, and some armor will work fine for me.

I got some rear lower quarter panel armor, but I didn't like the way they fit and I had come to the conclusion that I'd rather just cut and fold it anyways.
