Recently picked up another NV242 from a '99 XJ. Need to swap it in.

Finally got a decent paying job. I will be getting a daily driver later this week, and I'll be going to pick it up on the 23rd.

So expect many changes to my XJ soon!

Put some 2.5" lift springs, another isolator, and front JK shocks in yesterday.

Just now cut the front air dam/valance and little bit of the flares.

After putting those springs in, I still don't like how low the front is compared to the back.

Rear end is at about 20.25" from center of hub on axle to the bottom tip of the fender flare. I think thats a little over 3" of lift?

Front is at about 19.25" from the center of hub to the bottom tip of the flare. I think thats a little under 2" of lift in the front?

Can anyone confirm my calculations?

Either way, its a little higher than my sagged to death stock springs and 2" spacers. Not to mention the Jeep rides SOOOOOO much better now and doesn't have a gangster lean anymore. The springs I got didnt end up being as tall as I thought they were but they were $50 so no big deal. I think this Friday (PAYDAY!!!) I will order some 3" lift coil springs and call it done.

Ordered some Rustys 3" lift springs this past Friday. Should be here tomorrow. I took the front springs out after work a little bit ago.

Now we wait until tomorrow...

Took some photos of it

I get paid this week, so I'll get some 1" spacers to push the front end up just a little bit more and I think I'll be satisfied.

Next on the list:

Rebuild the other TCase and put it in

Bumpstop front and rear

Go WHEELING!

Was messing around with the camera so decided to take more pictures of the Jeep. And to show how it looks with the 3/4" spacers thrown in.

Well, I figured the Jeep has been sitting there for a little too long now. Started taking apart the other 242 and ordered an RE HackNTap for it earlier this week. Time to get the ball rolling so I can go wheeling! Its been too long since my last trip.

What else needs to happen:
Put that other 242 in with HackNTap, along with a front driveshaft and whatnot
Longer front brake lines
Bump stops
Motor mounts
New crossmember

Discovered that the track bar needs some attention so I'll probably be ordering an Iron Rock Offroad Track Bar this paycheck so I can get that straightened out and not have to worry about issues when I drive it. HackNTap gets here tomorrow, so I'll also be tearing into the TCase some more this weekend.
