Nah, theres just a plate thing that the tire carrier uses. The plate is held on with some bolts and a big hole in the bumper. I just took the plate, cut a hole in the bumper with a plasma cutter (saved me from taking the bumper off ) and welded the plate in.

Just got some small things done. Got the parking brake setup, but need to replace the brake shoes, got a new dynomax catback on, installed a new tranny mount, did this to fix my wobbly steering wheel, had to replace my wiper switch, replaced both front hub assemblies, and that's about it.

Haven't had much time or money to do much else since I had a family emergency. I now need to replace my turn signal switch and get it inspected. I also picked up an OEM transfer case skid I need to install.

Up after that would be to get some new rear springs and some V8 ZJ coils and I'll probably take a break from spending money on the Jeep for a bit so I can build myself a nice computer and to take a break from having to work on it constantly.

Also did some light wheeling in El Paso.

Just noticed I didn't post up about my V8 ZJ Tie rod... Well, I have one.

Wow... i almost shed a tear lookin at this thread, my first vehicle was a 91 Briarwood, but it was green, i drove and loved it for about 4 years then i rolled it one day...sad sad day, it still does work around the farm but without a roof and all the panels banged up. oh well, it gave me a reason to buy two more!!

The Jeep is looking nice, I especially like the TJ wheels. The whole thing kinda makes me want a woodie for my girlfriend to drive, I want one but won't give up my 5.9, so she may as well drive it. Whats the story with the water, what did you do there?

Thanks.

I had been through the water a few times before, but managed to find this little deep spot that time. It still runs, just need to pull the carpet and replace my front speakers.

Damn, I wouldn't wheel that if I owned it. Such a classic Cherokee.

I think you should buy a beater Jeep and DD this one so it stays in mint condition...

Lovin' the Briarwood. My first Jeep at age 16 was a 91' Briarwood that started just like yours and finally ended on full widths and 38" TSLs. Keep goin'......

As much as Id like to not wheel it, I just cant help it. But, I'll be getting a different daily driver soon, so more funding can go towards armor and other things to help keep it pretty when I do wheel.

x2 on not wheeling it. I would buy a beater XJ to wheel and restore that Briarwood. That's one classic XJ that's extremely hard to find in good condition. Great build so far man, keep up the good work!

Tail pipe decided to separate itself from the muffler... again. Took it off.

Also noticed gear oil all over the passenger rear wheel and pinion seal looks to be going out too. Time to get me a new rear axle. I hope I get lucky and find a D44.

Got a C8.25 with limited slip. ordered some HD replacement leaf springs since I'll be working down there anyways. Hopefully everything gets here before the weekend.
