My 87 YJ with ***YouTube Video***

Boy oh boy, I wish I had found jeepforum.com three years ago!!

Many of my questions would have been answered if I had...

Here is my 87 YJ that started with an AMC 258 Peeyu-got-to-go 5 spd and np207 (with 260,000 on it when taken out)- now with a 1970 LT1 350, TPI'ed, Megasquirted, 700R4, NP242'ed (now), TrueTracked and TracLocked 30 and 35 going together my way:

Tada!! This thing really rips and is great off road now, too. The 2.5 inch lift was too stiff at first but it is actually smoothing out yet not sagging.

Anyone done a seat swap. I've got the forum link... What of those GM seats are most comfy/strong?

Now its cold out I'm also thinking about putting carpets back in. What's the cheapest way?

Thanks,

That looks great man. Hell of a good job. And I like the Stevie Ray Vaughn too.

Nice looking Jeep! Is the Dana 35 holding up behind the 350?

Jeep YJ Put-Back-Together = Mechano Set

Seasons Greetings!

Thanks, The D35 has some tough axles so as long as I don't land on it or flex it hard it'll be fine... Gears are yukons... The auto helps as well. Maybe a 44 or 60 sometime.

Here's a good one for you- I just swapped out my NP207 for a 242 because my 207 chain was skipping. Either the new-from-wrecker tcase is doing the same thing or it was just my disconnect unlocking under load... The new solid one piece is in the back seat of the YJ just waiting to go in... What a pain ;-)

What did your D44 come from?

That's some nice work. I like the fact it's a sleeper. Good job not going over bored.
