My 80 CJ-7 and my monster

Just thought I would share. I bought this jeep about 2 years ago originally and the guy I bought it from had redid the frame, added the glass tub, and replaced the brake lines and fuel lines. When I bought it I added the cage, sliders, bumpers, added the TJ flairs, new seats, and coated the interior with duraback. A friend of mine asked me if I wanted to sell it and made me a good offer on it so I let it go. Fast froward to six months ago when he called me in a bit of a jam and asked me if I wanted to buy it back.

Long and the short of it, I got it back and picked up where he and I left off. He added the bikini top and soft doors when I sold it to him and did some work to the motor. I am currently going through all the mechanicals and going to be re-wiring it and replaceing the dash and almost everything attached to it real soon.

When I picked her up from NJ last month.

Here's a shot from right around when he got it from me.

This is the monster, aka the town whore (because everyone gets a ride!)

And the reason she looks so rough...

97 Explorer sport, 4.0l sohc
-8.8 rear, d-44 front from a early bronco, 4:56 gears locked on both ends.
-wristed radius arm front suspension with 5.5 wild horse springs and lots of custom engineering.
-36x13.50-15 IROKs
-Leather interior with sunroof package

Shes currently on the injured reserve list. On its last run the steering box pulled the bolts right through the frame. It needs to be plated and sleeved to take the additional stress of the front end. Plus shes going to get hydro assist added. Also needs the fuel line replaced that we tore.

Nice rigs man. The CJ looked like a completely different Jeep once you cleaned it up.

It was clean when he got it from me. Sitting outside for a year, plus towing across PA in a snow storm does not do much for the clean factor. The paint looks better in the photos then it really is, but overall its in good shape. Once I go through it and touch everything up shes going to be a nice little driver.

This is what it looked like when I originally bought it a few years ago. Looked to much like a blue mail jeep to me so I had to do something about it.
