My $300 2000 XJ Build

I got into jeeps about 5 years ago when i traded for a 1995 jeep wrangler.thats was a blast to own off roaded it alot and beat it hard and had a blast.got a 2002 wrangler and i also off road it but dont beat on it near as badly.still fun but wanted another cheap jeep i could beat on and enjoy off road.well i got a hell of a deal on a 2000 XJ a few weeks ago.the ladt said her daughter was driving it last spring and the radiator blew apart, she said she shut it off and had it towed and it sat for 8 months.she lived over an hour away from where jeep sat so someone stole the bad radiator and battery for junk and electric fan.when i was trying to find out who owned it i was told motor was blown up by one person.i was told had a blown head gasket and the 4x4 was out by someone else.well when i finally made contact with the owner she said as far as she knew motor was fine just needed radiator.it was hard but she let me have the jeep for $300 so she did not have to mess with it.the jeep is in good shape a real deal even if motor is junk.
well last weekend i got used radiator and fan and put in it and put a battery in it.it starts and runs seems like it misses a bit but runs.yesterday i went to put a serpentine belt on it and the alternator was locked up and the bolt broke for the belt tensioner.so i got a replacement on its way and picking up an alternator this week.so next weekend hopefully i can get belt on started and let it run and see if she is gonna get hot.
Also yesterday i had it running long enough to drive it in garage and i checked the 4x4 and it seems to work fine.wish me luck.

Heck instead of Nerf bars. Get some JCR stage 3 Sliders! They look just like the nerf.
