My 2013 Commando Green Rubicon Unlimited Build

Hey forum! I got rid of my LJ and got a 2013 Unlimited Rubicon! This is my build thread, it will be slow at first but eventually pick up speed! Any comments or recommendations would be greatly appreciated.

January 12, 2013:
Today was the first day with the jeep, it has so much more power than my old lj! I just added a few stickers and ordered parts. As of now, I plan on getting a 3" lift and 35" tires, as well as bumpers and items of the such.

Here is a picture of my old lj

January 14, 2013:
Today I ordered A hi-lift, hi-lift tailgate mount, headlight guards, tail light guards, and some willys star stickers for the sides.

Love the new Rubi and the LJ

What size Metal Cloak flares did you put on the LJ? A few more shots of that would be appreciated I just received my set and am concerned the 6" flare might be too much. I am running 35x12.50x15 BF All Terrains with a 3.75" BS rim.

The LJ has 4" flares.

Love the shot with the 2 greens together.

Wooo!! Almost 300 miles on the JK!

I made a trip to harbor freight and picked up a new shovel and machete. I also put my fire extinguisher and first aid kit in the jeep.

Today some of my parts arrived! Let the mods begin.

First I put on some of the Mopar door guards on the front and back doors.

Now it was time to put the Hi-Lift mount on the tailgate. I had to drill 3 holes in the plastic hinge covers. About halfway through this install I lost the instructions and then had to make a run to harbor freight because I lost my 13mm socket.

Drilling holes in the new jeep for the first time!

Finished tailgate mount!

My taillight guards also came in today!

The last thing I did before I went to sleep for the night was mount a shovel on the cage.

I am starting to look at bumpers and lift kits for the jeep. Any recommendations would be greatly appreciated! I plan on putting 35s on the jeep.

Rough country for the front bumper. Lift is personal preference and I won't get into that debate at all.

I forgot to mention that I also ordered end caps to turn my bumper into a stubby bumper! And I added this sticker.

Just a quick update, I'm on my iPhone so I'm not sure if the pictures will post. I have installed a 3" lift and put the stubby end caps on my bumper.

Will make an excellent mall crawler.

Where in Indiana are you from? If you aren't too afraid of hurting it, you should come wheel with IndyORV.

Looks good. I like that color.
