My 2005 Jeep Wrangler Rubicon Sahara Unlimited

So Its time to stop hijacking xantasm's thread and time to start my own.

I want to give a big thanks to My heep, glockster, and xantasm for all their help. I did find out that my jeep is in fact a Rubicon Sahara Unlimited.

I do not have any good pictures of my jeep yet but will hopefully get some next week. I do not want to take pictures until after I locate my dash badge and sahara stickers from the original dealership the jeep was purchased from. Hopefully they will still have them and hopefully I can find out what number I have.

Here is my jeep as it sits now...

Horrible picture but its all I have for now.

Today I stopped by my local dealership and got the build sheets.

(I have these in higher quality if anyone wants to save them for whatever reason, photobucket killed the quality)
AM1: Sahara Edition Group
MYJP: Sahara Badge

The only things I have done to the jeep so far are these things:
Wrangler MT/R's (it came with BFG all terrians LT245/75r/16..for sale by the way lol)
JKS discos
Kilby steering guard

Other than that I dont plan on doing much to her. I was thinking of getting the northridge 4x4 belly skid plate. She is going to be a recreational vehicle mainly used for hunting. I am looking for a soft top for her though. What do you guys recommend? I have looked on my local craigslist and found nothing and checked ebay and they were asking $1100+. Where can I get a good quality soft top for a reasonable price?

Quadratech or 4WD hardware are bout the cheapest places. Get what you pay for though!!

Nice jeep! Maybe someday I will own one of those when they are 15-20 years old and are available for 5,000-10,000 dollars.

You definitely get what you pay for in soft tops. My sister has a Pavement Ends soft top on her TJ and you can tell after installing it and driving it how it compares to a factory soft top.

Nice looking LJ btw.

Build sheet from the dealer confirms it for you. Good deal.

There are a few soft tops available is So Cal. I'll send you some links as I find them. Mostly in the $500-$700 range complete.

Yours is missing the dash plaque also?

No luck yet on replacements that I know of. Many things have been tried but nothing has worked. Chrysler/Jeep being in limbo land right now is not helping.

Hooray!!!!!!!!!!!!

Long story short. I contacted the original dealer that sold the jeep I bought and got very lucky. I talked to a parts salesmen who has worked there long enough to remember selling these limited addition Rubicon Sahara's and he said he had exactly what I needed!

A box stashed away possibly to be thrown away he said. It contained a dash plaque, sahara tire cover, and another set of rear tail light guards.

He said Jeep has no idea what number went with what vehicle. That they put together a bunch of boxes with the extra options that were needed for the vehicles and just tossed them in the back of the jeep before delivery to the dealerships. The boxes contained the dash plaque, tire cover, tail light guards, and the sahara stickers. The dealerships were suppose to install these options but apparently most of them never did.

My Ruby sahara is now officially 150 of 1000!

Dude, that is so gay that Chrysler doesn't have them documented. You can get any Rubi LJ that color and put Sahara stickers on it, and there's no way to prove or disprov it's a Sahara...

Anyways, glad you got your Sahara and you have the stuff for it! Luckily the dealership is a pack rat and kept your stuff!

Oh yes, and I'll let you know if I ever come to that part of Cali so you can buy me that drink

Stupid dealers? I say stupid Chrysler! For a limited edition model they should at least spend a few extra minutes on each one to document it and put everything on the Jeep before delivery. But of course time is money, and the days of sacrificing a little quantity for quality and pride went away long ago in this mass production world we live in today...
