This is an inspiration for my XJ! I have a totally stock navy blue XJ. I cannot wait to put my lift on. I am doing 3" and 32s (maybe 31s). How much did you spend on everything as far as the lift, tires, rims, and anything else you had to do when you lifted it (TC Drop, etc...)...if you dont mind me asking

Have you bored the throttle body out yet? I'm liking the progress your making on the ol' XJ though. I am thinking about doing the cowl induction intake. Is the sound of the air too loud? Was it a nice improvement in HP?

All work by myself.
The first lift was a rubicon budget boost, I wouldn't recommend it. Fill it with gas, tools and friends, and it starts to sag. Stock TB, but the cowl induction helped a lot. It's noisy, but wind noise on the outside covers it up. Prices- Lift and shocks off naxja new for 700. Tires were 450ish, treadwright.com. Rims were 230 from summit. Track bar was 150 from fullsize xj gear. Sye with flange and driveshaft off of naxja 100. U joints for the shaft- 50. 1650 total.

So after waiting for ups, the aussie finally came.
It took a few hours with a break for dinner. I had some trouble aligning things, but eventually it was all in and working. I tested it, and it's simple. Stuff I couldn't do in 4low can now be done in 2hi. The ratcheting isn't very loud, and the feel is great. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()
