Ahh, good.

Yeah, take your time, and have a tap and die set handy just incase.

If you havent seen it in the xj tech, I made a cowl snorkel.
(Copied from my other thread.)

I recently got a second intake hose from a wrecked xj, so I got inspired to finally make a cowl snorkel. There's a good amount of water crossing where Im moving next year, so why not.

Parts-
About 3 feet of straight, black pvc 3 inch pipe.
One sharp 90 degree elbow
One normal 90 degree elbow
One factory air tube elbow (from the air cleaner to the TB)

I cut a hole in the cowl, and a hole in the filter box, and figured out the best way to put it all together. Then I siliconed a seal for the air box.

Already, I can feel a HP increase, and I can hear the air it is sucking.
I still need to block off and seal the front of the air box.

Thanks guys. Can't wait to lock it. And the color is killer.

The retreads are great, but there a bit of shoulder wear.

The wj is awesome, and it has sliders waiting in the garage.

Yeah, a lot.

-SYE this weekend.
-Adding the outer tube on my sliders to make them super rails
-Frame stiffeners soon.
-zj rear disks, aussie and diff cover all at once.
-hp dana 30 in my back yard, I may truss it, add lca skids, aussie it and new brakes, along with new ball joints, and other odds and ends.

Long term
-Iron scorpion winch bumper
-Some type of warn winch
-33's, 4.56's?
-Trim and relocate flares.

hey instead of zj disk brakes look into 03-06 kj disk brakes off a 8.25 since they bolt right on with all the correct parts and with a kj e-brake cable swaps over too

Yeah, 4.56 is a good idea, rather than going 32's with 4.10's.

It has 132,000K. Runs great, starts every time, but recently it has been a little slower to fire.

Yeah, kj brakes are a good idea.

In the back, it's the matching c4x4 bumper ends.

The other panels are bedlined.

Speedometer Backlight

Just picked up an 2000 XJ with only 53k on her...same color as yours. My question is how did you change the color of the backlight on your speedometer...is there a write up somewhere? Thanks for the help. Peace
