Thanks man. I actually haven't cut an sheet metal up front. The 97+ jeeps are built like that.
As far as tire clearance, the flares are trimmed inside, and the rubber liner is gone. I think I decided that I'll clear 32's nicely, with about 1 more inch of lift, so once I wear out these tires, Im going to swap my HP dana 30, do 4.56's, and run 265 75r16 rubber. I have to use it as a street machine indefinitely, so 33's might be too much. Now that I am in college, I am the designated driver, which Im ok with.

Showing them NAXJA boys up.
Definately got the best one there. If you want to run 33's, do it. I think that's a great tire size for DDing. If you'll notice, the TJ guys prefer 33's for DD's.

Hahaha, thanks.
For me, it's not the tire size, but it what I'd have to do to fit that tire size. I'd either go up another 1- 1/2, or trim. So I'd have to decide. And I guess 4.56's on 32's would be super torquey.

dont waste your time with 32's, if your going to regear anyways you might aswell throw 33's under it. do you not want to trim fender?

Yeah, I don't want to trim.
My best option would be to relocate the flares. (With the trim)

I say 32's are fine! 32" bighorns are 100 bucks cheaper than 33's and are only .5" smaller.

Yeah. I love the look of the blue flares.
My favorite option would be to not regear. I'd run 31's for a while longer, but do a 5 speed swap. My gearing would be correct for 31's, and I'd regain mileage, and get even more efficiency without a torque converter.

So saturday, I went to the junkyard to get a set of zj discs. It started raining, I didn't have a wrench I needed, and it was a disaster. Muddy, oliy, and dirty. Then, I got kicked out at closing time, with only one side pulled. I went back today, and got the rest.
Backing plates, calipers, softlines, and 9 wheel studs for 108 bucks out the door. Im happy. ![]() And heres a pic of the frame stiffeners I bought from HD Offroad. 130 shipped. ![]()

Do you have them? I can't wait.
I want to go doorless. But it's freaking cold up here during winter, so I'll wait till spring.
