Thinking about pulling out some pieces in my dash and painting them red. Anyone ever done that? How hard is taking it apart?

Also if anyone has a good link to a fender trimming write up I would love you

thanks

its easy to take apart, just remember all your screws go, and they make special paint for plastic pieces. i'm not sure what its called.

just make sure to degrease it well. scrub it with some dish soap. dont use brake cleaner like metal parts as it can eat some plastics.

did it chip at all since you put it on?
because i painted my flares with rustolium spray can bedliner, and it chipped within a couple of months.

Mine haven't chipped at all. I just washed them before, didn't do too much prepping. Last threw the winter, so far so good. I'd do a couple of coats.

Clean XJ, I like the whole red on black color scheme. I'm jealous cause both of my 2drs are black with peeling clear coat and the 88 was 1/2 grey 1/2 fungus lol

Yea i bought my 95 sport 5sp about a yr ago for real CHEAP, basically rebuilt the whole thing and converted it to 4x4. I have parts from 87 up to 2000 in my heep and once i get some money im doing a bastard pack lift to fit 31's. My most recent project was a Taurus fan to cure my heating issues which i highly recommend I'm going to drive this jeep till the day it dies

My 1st jeep i owned was a 96 sport that I sold to my gf after she totaled her car. I was going to part it out for my project or chop top it b/c the floors are completely rusted out due to leaky windshield. By time i knew of the rust it was too late, i dont think that this 2dr is going to survive too many more MI winters

I wish i could find the pic to share but up at school we had 3 black 2drs (my gf's, another girls and mine), 1 white 2dr on 35's, 79 J-10 fully restored on 37's and a 197something CJ5 or 6 idk, all being worked on next to each other in our parking lot to prepare for the mudboggers ball that coming weekend.
