Thanks,

Hopefully when I get it painted the gray with markings it will look a lot better!

I think I am going to paint the trailer the same color...

I also think I found a new sport!

I have one of those trailers. I dont think mine would float very long. But now I have a reason to patch up the bottom.

Family of 5<Myself and 4 girls. Out numbered and dont care that I leave the seat UP.

Now that I have had a shake down run I am thinking I will get it on a towbar and wheel it more. I still have a lot to do before then as I found out some weaknesses I want to fix. Most are quick fixes. I hope to take it on a color tour this fall now though

I hope the trailer is useful, I am kind of worried about not having a tailgate. I should find some use for it though.

You could hack and fab the back into a gate. Mine just slides on and off with no hinges

I won't cut this one, I lose the float function and over 1/3 of the value if I cut a gate into it. It is pretty much unmolested. I have another 4x7 utility trailer I built specifically for behind a jeep that has a tailgate if I need to haul something like that. I am going to build this one more toward one of those 'adventure trailers' you see. www.adventuretrailers.com. Only I may try to build my own tent for the top. I have a brand new tent though I just bought, so I have no idea what I would use the trailer top tent for. Probably will divide up the trailer portion for storage etc...

I have to worry about finishing the CJ first though. I still have soooo much to do to it before I can worry about that stuff. I want the CJ damn near perfect mechanically and at least from 50' away.

Adam got a new toy (plasma cutter) so it gave us a reason to work on a ton of other stuff that we haven't been able to since I was out of $$ to get torch gas.

The loops for the trailer chains -- courtesy of an old TJ swaybar.

The towbar mount/D-ring mounts, connected to the frame, the bumper is just a cover.

Beefed up the front frame, when we got it all apart you could tell the left front frame rail was moving -- pretty certain this was the cause of the 'wandering' The left frame rail just couldn't handle the saggy swap with just the bumper holding it.

New 1/4" angle iron crossmember, also serves as a mount for the d-ring/towbar mounts.

First "real" load for the trailer, going to go burn it all at my parents property today.

Now to figure out why it's getting 'loose' on deceleration. I think it is the spring bushings.

FWIW this is my other 'jeep' trailer I built for hauling stuff that needs a tailgate, I just found this pic in my photobucket.

It needs a new axle now though... I kind of bent the original when I was doing the remodeling in the pic below...

I have just been enjoying the jeep this summer, I figure I will tear it apart for body work in the coming cold months.

Yesterday I traded off my 33x12.5's and chrome rims, for what I wanted originally. I had the original rims that I needed to cut the almost original tires off of...

These are what we had to cut top one being the worst.

After: Have to tie back the PS hoses...
