ok new to the site as soon as i get my 25 post i will put some pics up. now unfortunatly i did not build all of this one was bought with the big mods already done. it is a 2001 tj with an 04 5.7 ltr hemi axles from a 2008 jeep wrangler rubicon. custom interior, poisen spyder cage, poisen spyder corner guards with 6 inch flares, aev rocker guards, fabtech front bumper, custom rear bumper with tire carrier, rhino lined interior, custom exhaust with magnaflow muffler, 315/75/r16 pro comp extreme mud terrains, with pro comp 16 inch steel wheels, with electric fans and exhaust it pushing just a bit over 400 horses. will post some pics asap.
thanks. now a few extra details this jeep was the first hemi conversion done by burnsville off road back in 05 you can see it on thier website when it was still almost stock. i love this thing drives 70 down the freeway and is my daily driver/ trail rig try and get on the trails as much as possible. future upgrades i hope to do are front tube fenders with flare to match rear. beefing up the dana 44s and throwing a set of 37's on it. i always like to here peoples ideas and suggestions so let me here them and i will get some newer pics up soon.
That's nice . I put a 2004 Hemi Motor and Transmission in my 2001 Dakota Quad Cab, I Loved it..But someone totaled it for me..Now I'm going to put the Hemi in my 1987 Wrangler.."AFTER"~ I'm done with my 1981 Renegade 304 Project..I was wondering what to do about the running gear on my Wrangler, but you answered some questions I had with this thread. ok first thanks treyxj for fixin my pics. and now update ok looks like after that trip to boonville i crawled some stuff i probably should not of crawled. my shocks now have an 1/2 inch of play up and down at the bushings and the control arms rotate 1/4 inch to 1/2 inch each way so time for some suspension work. i am going to replace the shocks with rancho rsx 9000 xl's, replace the teraflex control arm bushings with daystars polyurathane bushing, add adjustable upper arms in the front since my front uppers are stock and add 3/4 coil spring spacers the whole way around. just got to wait till my birthday here in the next 2 weeks to get the fundings for doing this. will post pics as i do it. any suggestions appriciated.
first thing i did was replace the teraflex lower control arm bushings with the daystar polyurathane bushings. when i pulled those arms off the bushings were so far gone the metel sleeves fell out. also painted the arms red.
next i pulled off the worn out rancho rs 5000 shocks the bushings were so worn you could move them 1/2 inch up and down. i replaced them with a nice set of rancho rsx 9000xl shocks. now the jeep rides like a caddilac. the only thing that worries me is that i ordered the ones for a 5 to 6 inch lift and well i only have like an inch of up travel on the rear shocks. also painted the coil springs red too.
